However, when I come to connect to the device:
- I can see it if I do the 'scan network' (see screenshot)
- When I select the device and click 'OK', I get a popup requesting for a Log On. However, I cannot log on. I have tried many options (admin/admin, admin/password.... and also the local PC's admin account). The only thing I get when I tried to log in is an error saying 'No device is responding to the scan request'.
I have confirmed that the gateway x64 and is Codesys Control Win v3 is running in the systray. Stopping and starting these doesn't make a difference. The services seem to be running ok. I also turned all firewalls off.
I'm at a loss on how to connect and download my project. Anyone have any ideas?

Somehow the soft PLC (Codesys Control Win v3 x64) is locked with a password and I can't connect because of it. I've never set any security - this is a fresh download...
Thanks for the detailed movie clip, but no luck I'm afraid. Any other ideas?

I'm new to Codesys and am trying to run a test project on the Codesys Control Win v3 x64 virtual plc.

I've figured it out: you have to first create a user in the Project settings. And to create a user, you also need a login, but that is just 'Owner' and no password: https://help.codesys.com/api-content/2/codesys/3.5.14.0/en/_cds_set_up_user_management/
Crikey - you need to do some digging to find this one. Poorly documented for newbies like me.
