<div class="markdown_content"><p>Hi. We have special use case for Codesys where we want to use windows laptop with Peak or Kvaser CANopen adapter to run applications. We use these applications for testing CANopen controlled mobile machinery module assemblies before mounting them to real machine.</p> <p>So far I have found out that I can create an application folder with boot application and CODESYSControl.cfg to C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\testapplication\ and modify CODESYSControl.cfg from C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\B4A102F1\ to include created path.</p> <div class="codehilite"><pre><span></span><span class="k">[SysFile]</span> <span class="na">FilePath</span><span class="o">=</span><span class="s">C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\testapplication\</span> </pre></div> <p>In that way when I start PLC, it loads application from \testapplication\ instead of application inside \B4A102F1\ path.</p> <p>Can i just copy application folders to C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\ and create script which modifies CODESYSControl.cfg to decide which application opens when I start PLC? Is this a bad idea or is there something better to switch between different applications before starting windows soft plc? </p> <p>It would be ideal to install only ControlWin runtime to the laptop without the actual IDE. Switching between apps should be as simple as possible for the user.</p></div>
