Byte input and output 1734-OE2V

Hello, I would like to set up a 1734-OE2V card as a generic component
and connect it to a Raspberry via a 1734-AENTR coupler.

I understood what I had to put in "config"
but I did not figure out how much byte of input and output I had to assign to it ..

For an IB8 it takes 1 input byte.
For an OB8 this takes 1 input bytes and 1 output byte.
With these two cards I'm ok.

If any one could explain, I would be very grateful.
