I did the steps you suggested and the red line readily disappeared.
When trying to connect to to the local gateway I still get a connection error, just as before though.
Hello. There is somehow an unwritten "how to use a sample project" that everyone somehow knows. I don't know why this procedure is not more prominent. Probably because you only need to learn it once.
1. Right click the red squigly underlined device and select "Update device". Choose the latest version of your device and the button "update device".
2. Menu >> Project >> Project Environment. "set all to newest" button. "OK" button.Your project is now up to date.
- Double click the device (which is no longer red squigly underlined) to open his editor. The Communication Settings tab is now open. Choose your device from a gateway.
- Press the Login button.
Not able to connect to Codesys Gateway on locl machine...
