Duration of storage of your personal data

We adhere to the principles of data economy and data avoidance. If the re-spective purpose does not apply any more, or after the expiry of the corresponding periods, your data will be blocked or deleted as a matter of routine and in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Contact

If you contact us via e-mail or contact form, you agree to electronic communication. In the context of contacting us, personal data is collected. Which data is collected in the case of a contact form can be seen from the respective contact form. Your data will be transmitted SSL-encrypted. We use software for the maintenance of customer data (ERP system) or comparable software based on our legitimate interests (efficient and fast processing of user inquiries). The system is operated by us inhouse. No data is therefore passed on to third parties. We would like to point out that e-mails can be read or changed during transmission without authorization and unnoticed. Furthermore, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that we use a software for filtering unsolicited e-mails (spam filter). The spam filter can reject emails that have been falsely identified as spam by certain features.

What are your rights?

a) Right to information

You have the right to obtain information about your stored data free of charge. Upon request, we will inform you in writing what personal data we have stored about you in accordance with applicable law. This also includes the origin and recipients of your data as well as the purpose of data processing.

b) Right to correction

You have the right to have your data stored with us corrected if it is incorrect. In this case, you can request a restriction of the processing, e.g. in the event that the accuracy of your personal data is contested.

c) Right to block

g) Right of objection

You have the possibility to revoke the use of your data for internal purposes at any time with effect for the future. All you need to do is send an e-mail to datenschutz@codesys.com. However, such revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the processing procedures carried out by us up to that point. This does not affect data processing with regard to all other legal bases, such as the initiation of a contract (see above).

Protection of your personal data

We take contractual, organizational, and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the provisions of data protection laws are observed and thus to protect the data processed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or against access by unauthorized persons. Users have the possibility to register on this website with the indication of personal data. Which personal data are transmitted to 3S-Smart Software Solutions GmbH is determined by the respective input mask used for the registration. The personal data entered by the user are collected and stored exclusively for internal use by 3S-Smart Software Solutions GmbH.

By registering on the CODESYS Forge website, the IP address - assigned by the Internet service provider (ISP) and used by the visitor - date, and time of the registration are also stored. The storage of this data takes place against the background that this is the only way to prevent the misuse of our services, and, if necessary, to make it possible to investigate committed offenses. This data is not passed on to third parties unless there is a statutory obligation to pass on the data, or if the transfer serves the aim of criminal prosecution.

The registration of the data subject, with the voluntary indication of personal data, is intended to enable 3S-Smart Software Solutions GmbH to offer the data subject contents or services that may only be offered to registered users due to the nature of the matter in question. Registered persons are free to change the personal data specified during the registration at any time, or to disable their account. If they want to have their account deleted completely, they have to contact 3S-Smart Software Solutions GmbH.

Publishing data on the website

3S-Smart Software Solutions GmbH offers users the possibility to add content to the website via comments, blogs, wiki pages, forums or source code repositories.

On deletion, not all traces of the data can be deleted. The data might already be spread through notifications or republished by third-parties. What will be removed is the publication on CODESYS Forge.

Subscription to changes on the website

A registered user can subscribe on changes of many contents published on this website.

If a registered user decides to subscribe to the option, 3S-Smart Software Solutions GmbH will send an email upon change of the content on which the user requested user subscribed. The user can at any time cancel this subscription by visiting the preferences page of his account and clicking on subscriptions.

Every notification which is sent to the user upon his subscription is stored. Beside a reference to the user and a reference to the content, which has changes, the specific change of the artifact and the publication date is stored.
