Ticket #171: Codesys Username and Password gone WRONG! ^{CODESYS Forge support (Ticket)}
Hi I don't know where to start. I have a Wago PLC running with PFC 200 V4.3.0.0, 2 weeks ago I did a final Hot FAT and after some discussions with the client some minor changes was required for the visu. The PLC was without power for the 2 weeks and when I powered the system on again everything seemed normal. UNTIL I wanted to download my new code changes to the PLC. As soon as I tried to login to the PLC I get the mandatory popup to enter a username and password, I proceeded to copy the username and password from a file so I dont make any typos. I could not login to the PLC to download. Codesys was rejecting the user credentials I was entering. What I found was I could access the Codesys web page and login without a problem. I could also ssh into the PLC with the same username and password. My credentials are identical for everything. I could also scan the network in codesys and could do the wink function (PLC lights up some LEDS) with the same username and password. But I could not download to the PLC. Now this is a simple question that I WANT a answer to. How is it possible that I could not download to a PLC that was working 2 weeks ago. I don't want to see a workaround for the problem. I want to KNOW why it was caused, because this enstills ZERO confidence in the product. And since my products are being shipped internationally, I need to be able to trust it. I would hereby like to request support for Drag and Drop file upload into svn/git repos via the web inteface to upload files. The idea is that once logged in we can easily upload files into a repo without the use of an external other then the browser. Codesys Forge will benefit frommsuch a feature since the bar will be lowered for all users to upload files. Github also supports this feature and I noticed it gets used quite a lot. Once people get the hang of this they slowly but surely will venture into usage of svn/git tools.
