Download project Analogue Clock Product description More information System requirements and restrictions Analogue Clock This example implements and assembles an analogue clock, which shows the current system time, with standard visualization elements. Product description A clock with clock hands for hours, minutes and seconds is animated in the visualization. More information FB_Clock: The function block FB_CLOCK implements the logic for getting the current time. First a time zone is set and afterwards the time and date is fetched. Due to the fact that the parts like hour, minute and second are needed, the date and time variable is split. These parts can be used by the visualisation to show the time. Visualization: The Clock visualisation builds an analogue clock with several ellipses and polygons. It is possible to make several references of this clock. Therefore a frame must be added in the main visualisation. Right click on the frame and choose Frame Selection. There the visualisation can be selected. For showing the time, a placeholder called FB_CLOCK is defined in the Interface Editor of Clock_Visu. This variable is used to animate the clock hands. By referencing the clock, the variable for the placeholder must be set in the Properties Editor at the References point. In this way it is possible to reference more clocks e.g. with different time zones. Download VisuLadder.zip Visu Ladder Logic Editor Product description More information System requirements and restrictions Visu Ladder Logic Editor The 'Visu Ladder Logic Editor' allows direct programming on a PLC via the visualization. This library contains a function block and a ladder logic editor which can be instanced by a PLC program. The function block has 8 inputs and 8 outputs and can be programed via ladder logic. An example shows the usage of the library. Product description The product Visu Ladder Logic Editor is a simple ladder logic editor (LD) for a PLC with 8 inputs and 8 outputs. You can use the ladder logic function block in various projects. The visualization of the editor runs on the standard visualization of the control. An additional test mode allows you to test the program online. More information The package Visu Ladder Logic Editor contains the library VisuLadder and the example project VisuLadderExample. The library contains the function block CallLaddder and the corresponding visualization element VisuLadderMain. Each function block can be instanced several times. The example VisuLadderExample shows the usage of the function block CallLadder with two instances. Technical description: 8 inputs 8 outputs 4 markers Integrated functions: Contact, Negate, TON, F_TRIG, R_TRIG, OR, AND 8 networks per instance, 4 contacts per network + 1 output Test mode Programming: You can place an element in the editor (see figure 1) by selecting a function and then the target position. It is also possible to select the target position first and then the function. A second click on the selected element deletes the selection. Available Functions: Input 1 - 8: Set an input Marker 1 - 4: Set a marker Output 1- 8: Set an output Delete: Delete a selected element Negate: Negate a contact OR: Create or delete an OR connection with the last network output. TON: Set function block TON (Timer) F_TRIG: Set function block F_TRIG R_TRIG: Set function block R_TRIG Reset Markers and FBs: Sets all markers to FALSE and initializes all functions blocks. This function is available in test mode and programming mode. Information: Markers and function blocks are used in programming and in test mode. The function "Reset Markers and FBs" will affect both modes! Test mode: The test mode can be activated by clicking the button "Switch to Test" (see figure 2). All input and outputs will be decoupled, the values will be preserved. In test mode the program can be tested online by 8 input buttons and 8 output lamps. Download project Seven Segment Display Product description More information System requirements and restrictions Seven Segment Display The example project contains an implementation of a seven segment display within CODESYS Visualization and the corresponding function blocks. Product description The example project SevenSegmentDisplay.project including a visualization of four seven segment displays shows the value of an integer. The values of the digits can be incremented and decremented via buttons. The seven segment display is implemented modularly and can be easily adapted for individual requirements. More information A single digit of the seven segment display is represented by the visualization component SevenSegmentDisplay and the driver function block SevenSegmentDriver. Following values can be displayed: Values from 0 to 9 Values from a to f Decimal point The function block Display and the visualization Display contain four seven segment displays to show the value of an integer. The values of the digits can be incremented and decremented via the buttons +/-. The function block Display is instanced in the program PLC_PRG and is referenced by the visualization MainVisu. Download SoundDemp.zip Sound Demo Product description More information Installation System requirements and restrictions Sound Demo This example explains the mapping of device outputs. For illustration purposes it uses a sound card as a device and a program that allows the user to play some music. Attention: 64 Bit controls are not supported. Product description When executing the MainVisu, the user will see a piano with the range of two octaves. A note will be played, as long as the user presses the mouse button on a key. If the mouse is released the sound will immediately stop. With a click on "Jukebox", it is possible to switch to the Jukebox mode. Three songs can be played there. The Jukebox mode comes with a play, pause and stop function. The user will also be able to change back to the piano mode. More information Main_PRG: This contains the main logic of this example. It constantly changes between seven different states. STATE.MUTE: All output bits will be set to FALSE and no sound will be played if the program changes to this mode. The animation of the jukebox will be stopped as well. STATE.FUER_ELISE: In this state the song "Für Elise" ( English: For Elise) will be played on the jukebox. It consists of 150 song components. STATE.HAENSCHEN_KLEIN: In this state the song "Hänschen klein" ( English: Little Johnny) will be played on the jukebox. It consists of 32 song components. STATE.MERRY_XMAS: In this state the song "We wish you a merry Christmas" will be played on the jukebox. It consists of 37 song components. STATE.PIANO: The Piano Mode gets activated in this mode. The MainVisu will present a piano to the user. STATE.JUKE: The Jukebox Mode gets activated in this mode. The MainVisu will present a jukebox to the user. STATE.WAITING: In this state nothing happens. The program simply cycles through ` this state until a state change gets triggered. JUKEBOX (FB): The JukeBox FB controls the blinking animation of the JukeBox in the MainVisu. The Jukebox will change its appearance every 600ms. One cycle goes through 13 different Jukebox picture changes. SoundCard: The path to the sound files can be changed in the "Internal Configuration" tab. Also additional songs can be added here. Installation In order to make this example work, the CODESYS Control CFG file has to be extended. Change in your CODESYS installation folder to 'GatewayPLC/'. Open the file 'CODESYSControl.cfg' and add a new component as 'IODrvSoundDemo'. See the first screenshot below. Additionally, copy the file IoDrvSoundDemo.dll from the package (in 'SoundCard') into the same folder. Then copy the included folder Sounds to C:\temp. In CODESYS go to Tools -> Device Repository... -> Install. Now select the file IoDrvSoundDemo.devdesc.xml, which is included into the package in the folder 'SoundCard'. More information PLC_PRG: The main program holds the variables in which the visualization writes the values from the keypad or numpad. Visualization: The visualization has three fields. Each displays either a numpad or a keypad when clicked. The first one displays a numpad for integer numbers. It also uses a minimum and maximum value. The second one inherits a numpad for real numbers. The third field displays a keypad for writing letters to a string variable.
