CODESYS is placing many of the classic CAA libraries into a Service Phase starting March 1, 2026, meaning: They are no longer recommended for new development. They will remain available only for existing use via bug-fix support until around March 1, 2030. Modern, better alternatives already exist or are being pushed as replacements. Examples of libraries entering Service Phase include: CAA Net Base Services, CAA Async Manager, CAA List and Tree, CAA BehaviourModel, etc. There’s also a shift in other internal areas — older networking (UDP/TCP), behaviour and buffer libraries, historic templates, and real-time-clock helpers are all being phased out in favor of newer tech. geometry dash lite

Post by hijackpager on RS232 Communication in CODESYS Control RTE V3

Based on your description, this issue is usually caused by differences in runtime configuration rather than the PLC code itself. To fix it, ensure the COM port is not used by another application, verify that CODESYSControl.cfg is correctly configured for the serial port, and confirm baud rate, parity, and port settings match the connected device. Testing the port with a simple loopback can help isolate hardware vs. configuration problems. Also check that the RTE runtime version matches the IDE and that required drivers and libraries are available. If the problem persists, creating a minimal test project and sharing configuration details on the forum can help others diagnose it quickly. Gud Luck! geometry dash
