Hello, I want to read/write the acyclic SDO form the EtherCat Slave. So, I am using the below FB to read it. However, it has giving me the error while read it. So, can you help me?. Hi, I already checked this in admin mode and it works only for stop PLC but it is not started the PLC after it has stopped. Is any settings still missing?.

Hello @eschwellinger, It is not working as expected...In the script it is showing to started PLC successfully but when I checked same in the notification panel, it is not changing the sign of Systray. Also, not connected to device. Can you help it. I attached my script here. I am working on 64bits machine.

Hello, I am able to start/stop service for the CODESYS Control Win V3 -x64 by using the Python script but my actual requirement to run this with CODESYS Control RTE V3. Can someone help how I can run Python script to start/stop the softPLC of Codesys RTE?.

Hello, I am working on Profinet and able to excute all my test by using the CODESYS tool. Thanks to the CODESYS team..!! Since, I have installed Codesys RTL8169/8110 Family Fat Ethernet XP NIC network drovers on my PC for "Codesys Control RTE X64", I am not able to see packets in Wireshark tool. Before that I am able to see it. So, do I need to change some settings to see the packets related to Profinet?. Can someone share his idea?.

Thank you for your exceptional support...!! I do not have the CIFX card hardware. So, not possible for me to test IRT. Hope so, CODESYS will soon release the IRT support in softPLC.

Hello @eschwellinger, I tried with instead of adding PN controller, added CIFX PN Controller and run the program but somehow it is not working. Any extra stpes which I needed to do for it?.

@eschwellinger Thank you for the clarification. I found that currently, it is only possible with the Hilscher CIFX. Can you clarify that if I want to use the Hilscher CIFX, it is required additional hardware to check the IRT communication or I check it like I done it with Control RTE softPLC?.

I installed the RTE softPLC on my system and configured the required driver setting for the network adapter. However, when I select the RTC Class 3, it is still showing the "Controller does not support the selected RTE class". It is working with RTE Class 1. I want to check IRT communication with my device. Can someone help?.

Hello, I downloaded and installed "CODESYS Control RTE V3". Before that I used CODESYS Control Win SL which is not supported the Real Time operation. When I build the program using the Control RTE V3, it has given the list of errors. Can someone help on this?. I already installed library package which is available with the setup file "CODESYS Control RTE SL 3.5.16.package". Attached the errors snapshot.

Hello, I found the attached information about the PN-Controller which informed that CODESYS is not support the RTC Class 3 (CC-C). However, CIFX does support it but it is required additional hardware to use it. So, we can't operate RTC CLass 3 using CODESYS SoftPLC. Is my thinking correct?.

Hello, I used CODESYS Control Win 64 softPLC for my testing on the PROFINET protocol. It is working with the RTC Class 1. When I want to use the RTC CLASS 3 for the IO Update interval settings, it has given error like "[ERROR]The controller does not support". So, any limitation in the CODESYS or I need to do some setting for it?.

I have successfully read/write the data for the particular slot and subslot with index number by done the piece of PLC code. I would like to know about that, is it possible to do without the PLC (Structured Text) programming?.

Thank you @eschwellinger...!! I see in the reference links and found that some piece of code is used to do the read operation. So, is it necessary to write the code? Any other way is possible without writing the code?. I have not experienced to this type of CODESYS language code and not perfectly understood it. We can read/write data for the particular slot by right click on the parameters and read or write it. Is it?. See the attachment.

Solved error by not enabling the bus cycle option from PLC setting for the Gateway and now my netX90 is connected.

As per the CODESYS "MY Question" help desk, it is possible to use PC as PN-Controller and we can directly use PN-Slave without any additional hardware in between as I used softPLC (CODESYS Control Win SL).

I have done some test. Tools-> Device Repository-> Install -> My next90 GSDML file. Created new project with Codesys Control Win V3 x64. Scan network which shows my PC in the below of the Gateway tree. Selected my PC which shows Green symbol. Right click and add device-> Ethernet. Click on Ethernet add device -> PN Controller. Assign network adapter to Ethernet and adjust IP of PN controller. Login it will shows device connected. Then start the configuration and PN controller is showing unconnected...
