Hi , I am not able to expand the global variable of type struct in offline programming, also not able to add comments to the elements of the variable of type struct, I was only able to add comments in the definition of the struct data type but not for each variable in the global variable list that uses this data type. Please help me out if there's a way.
Thank you so much, Extract function worked out just fine
I am trying to indirectly address the bit of a DINT and the codesys software doesn't recognise it and prompts that it should be struct type unless I am trying to do indirect addressing for an array. Please let me know if it is possible. I am attaching an image for context.
Thank you so much for your help. That worked On Thu., Mar. 11, 2021, 4:16 p.m. i-campbell, forge@codesys.com wrote: Have you made the optional devices optional? I am using Codesys 3.5 SP16 Patch 4. My EtherCAT master is configured to connect to three slaves. But physically I have connected only one, but on download the EtherCAT master does not even run unless I disable the unconnected devices offline and then download again so that it can only see the device that is connected. Is there a way to ignore the unconnected devices and atleast connect to the devices that are present on the network?
Hi Edwin, It was provided to me through Codesys. But I found some help in the issue and it has been resolved. I just needed to type in the IP address instead of selecting it from the scanned device list and it works.
Hi Edwin, I found out how to delete the bootproject and restarted the runtime. But I am getting the same error still. Can you figure out what else might be wrong with it? Regards SB
Hi Edwin, Thanks for the response. Can you tell me how do I delete the bootproject? Can I do it through the programming PC that is connected to the PLC device? Regards SB
