Hi , I am not able to expand the global variable of type struct in offline programming, also not able to add comments to the elements of the variable of type struct, I was only able to add comments in the definition of the struct data type but not for each variable in the global variable list that uses this data type. Please help me out if there's a way.

I am trying to indirectly address the bit of a DINT and the codesys software doesn't recognise it and prompts that it should be struct type unless I am trying to do indirect addressing for an array. Please let me know if it is possible. I am attaching an image for context.

I am using Codesys 3.5 SP16 Patch 4. My EtherCAT master is configured to connect to three slaves. But physically I have connected only one, but on download the EtherCAT master does not even run unless I disable the unconnected devices offline and then download again so that it can only see the device that is connected. Is there a way to ignore the unconnected devices and atleast connect to the devices that are present on the network?

Hi Edwin, It was provided to me through Codesys. But I found some help in the issue and it has been resolved. I just needed to type in the IP address instead of selecting it from the scanned device list and it works.

Hi Edwin, I found out how to delete the bootproject and restarted the runtime. But I am getting the same error still. Can you figure out what else might be wrong with it? Regards SB

Hi Edwin, Thanks for the response. Can you tell me how do I delete the bootproject? Can I do it through the programming PC that is connected to the PLC device? Regards SB

Hey guys, I am using a linux arm based device as PLC and I am running the demo runtime on it. I was able to go online earlier and download the program and test it. But after a few days when I try to go online the PLC software can be scanned through scan network screen but when I select the device I get " No device is responding to the scan request" . Can you tell me what can be done? I even tried to create a new program and connect to it but I still get the same error. I am attaching a few pictures...

Haha I am certainly a noob in this software. When I tried to search for EthernetIP Safety in Codesys I could not find any packages that I could install this tells me that Codesys only supports FSoE (Fail Safe Over EtherCAT), am I right regarding this? SB

Hi everyone, I am extremely new to Codesys and transitioning over from Rockwell. I would like to replace an Allen Bradley PLC with an Industrial PC running Codesys. The challenge is that the robots use Ethernet/IP and I can not for the life of me find any company that makes Safety PLC with Ethernet/IP protocol and safety package for Codesys. May be I am not searching the right terms or it's not actually possible. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks! SB

Hi, I am using Codesys 3.5.16.30, I might be posting in the wrong forum but I do not see a newer version here. I am using this software for the first time and trying to see if we can replace our allen bradley plcs with these ones. I would like to know for testing purposes how can i use my Windows 10 computer to act as both the gateway and plc. In the communications tab I see that the the Gateway has green light which I suppose is my own PC and the Device has grey light. But if I want to use my PC...
