Thanks eshwellinger! What do you mean by use "sudo" rights? (Please see attached screenshot of "SSH status" on target side) I don't know what to look on server side, can you provide some hints?

I am trying to install "Control for Linux": (two screenshots attached) * I am using "username/password", instead of SSH credentials. * As you can see, "system info" is read successfully! * However, I got 8 errors when trying to install the runtime to my Linux machine. . Any hint? thanks!

I just installed Codesys IDE and RTE, both version 3.5.18.20. However, when I tried to login/download the project, (see attached screenshot) I got an error of "device version on hardware mismatch device version in project"! Any hint? Thanks!
I am new to CodeSys and softmotion: Just scan servo drives and motors (see attached screenshots) I almost did not change anything: mostly default setting/value! When I try to run: I got error of "Distributed clocks are not synchronized, Rea time problem on hardware." Any hint? Thanks!
Great thanks timvh for your hints. It works now after I double checked: 1. make sure IDE is in the same subnet as RTE --- "ping to RTE" should succeed. 2. select the correct device with correct version.

I am new to CodeSys, and got stuck at "Device"-"Communication Settings" dialog (see attached screenshot): 1. My CodeSys IDE is SP17. 2. My CodeSys RTE at another computer is SP10. Can I connect my SP17-IDE to SP10-RTE? Any documentation on the steps to follow? For example: 1. As you can see: IP-169.254.167.200 is connected to SP10-RTE computer. 2. As you can see: DESKTOP-2MJCM4F should be my local computer, I don't see RTE-computer. 3. How to configure Gateway? 4. How to scan network? 5. Do I need...

Okay, I make it working with the following steps: 1. Step-1: Update device form "RTE V3 x64" to "Win V3 x64" 2. Step-2: Then create user and login with that user Even though it is working now, I am still confused about what those steps mean?

are you talking about the icon to "Start plc" (see attached) It stopped by default, I just started it (show "running") But same result: "scan network" finds nothing. (By the way, my PLC is empty, as I have not input any code yet.) (and question: does "start PLC" mean "start runtime"?)

I've just installed CODESYS 3.5 SP17 Patch 2 in my Windows-10 laptop. I want to test the runtime at localhost (should be installed by default?), so I started a standard project. However, I got stuck at first step: "scan network" can NOT find my local runtime.(see screenshot attached) Any hint? Thanks!
