5 years later: I'm also having the exact same problem! MySQL Workbench works fine across the LAN, but the codesys library cannot get past this stage... The library authors are not responding on their support email :(

While I did implement a custom filter, I'd also like to point out what jinlee mentioned above...I see no reference to VU.PublicVariables.Clients.Current anywhere?? In my case I only needed to show a dialog on a "master" client, not all the clients, so I filtered by IP address to do this.
Hi Has anyone successfully used a Beckhoff EL6652-0010 Ethernet/IP slave terminal through an EK1101 EtherCAT coupler, or similar, and been able to set it up through Codesys? It seems there is no driver for it, and it can't be done? The only option would be to use the Ethernet/IP capability of the controller directly with one of its ethernet ports and a Codesys Ethernet/IP adapter + module and routing it through EtherCAT by tunnelling it through via an EL6614 switchport? Any advice would be appreciated....
