Dear All,

Am very new to PLC industry........ i want to asl how to establish communication between CoDeSys and ABB PLC AC 500 with PM581 controller.

Is it PM581 or PM581-eth ? PM581 has only serial ports while PM581-Eth has ethernet also

From Codesys

Select Online/Communication Parameter
Select Gateway TCP/IP, if not available create new gateway
In IP give PLC IP
Port No : 1201
Motorola Byte: SWAP

Update and exit
Connect PLC and Your PC through Ethernet Cable (Straight cable through switch)
Select Online/Login from Codesys Menu
