you can read data from PLC use the fomula : codesys|'File Path\file name'!'variable name'. οΌ΄his is DDE interface,when codesys log in,it start.
if use DDE server,excel can't visit DDESERVER. The instruction of codesys has wrong. Even you open DDE server firstly,EXcel seem can't connect the server program.I use office 2007 ,maybe office 97 don't exsit this problem.
I don't kown what diffrence about DDE interface and DDE sever exactly. Maybe DDE sever make you visit data from your PC ,NOT PLC.

I am not able to read data thr' Gateway DDE server linking the variables in Excel file.
The formula given in help of CoDeSys is not being accepted by Excel sheet.
Pls. tell me the correct sequence and formula for logging data thr' CoDeSys.
It was a missing quote in help. Correct example:
=CODESYS|'C:\CODESYS\PROJECT\IFMBSP.PRO'! 'PLC_PRG.TEST'
