    "The locks do not depend on the SVN users, but to the working copy, and thus to the project file.
    The lock is maintained on the server side even if he has this file been deleted again because the server is not aware of it.
    In the project context menu there is an action "Steal Lock" - so that the user can bend the lock forcibly to the current project.

    In addition, you can disable the locking generally in newer versions in the options:

    The only "side effect" is then the higher risk of conflicts when multiple people make changes to the project at the same time.
    Please check the python script to free the locked POU’s of the project.
