I am using the PC based CODESYS software and am having performance problems while reading and writing TAGs using Kepware V6.5.829 OPC server
I am using CODESYS Control RTE V3 x64 (3.5.14.20) and CODESYS Control Win V3 x64 (3.5.14.20).
I have 4766 TAGs in my system. I am using Kepware’s test mode to test the average read/write times. I have tested with the same CODESYS project on each system. What I see is the following:

Sync Device Read 7609 ms 329 ms
Sync Write 989452 ms 11663 ms
The read is 23x slower when running Control RTE V3 compared to Control Win
The write is 84x slower when running Control RTE V3 compared to Control Win
I thought that the OPC processing of Control RTE work be faster than the Control Win, but that is not what my test are showing me.
Does anyone have an explanation of this or suggestions on setup/configuration that I can do to improve performance?
