I'm trying to make a Profinet coupler work with an Exor PLC over a Wifi Network.
I have 2 Teltonika RUT240 modems where the Coupler is connected to the first RUT240, which in turn is connected to the other RUT240 wirelessly that have the plc connected.
When I'm using this configuration of network I get an "DCP No RealStationName" error (error.png).
The weird thing is if I take the plc and coupler and just simply connected to the same switch, with no settings changed, I don't get the DCP error and it works as intended.
Anyone who have an idea what might be happening with the DCP error? I personally very rarely work with Profinet so any help/ideas would be much appreciated!
If you call / mail with Teltonika support, you would have found out that what you are doing is not supported and therefore probably will not work.
Please check this with your reseller, mine told: NO not supported with Teltonika.
Advice is to search for a WIFI extender that supports Profinet and explicitly states this in the specs. I know Phoenix Contact and Siemens sell these, try google.
With regards,

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
I've been in contanct with a Teltonika technician that remotely connected to ensure that the configuration of the Rut240's were properly set for this specific usecase.
If their routers doesn't support Profinet, it seems silly that they didn't point it out before we spent many hours online, trying to make it work.
I'll be asking them later today and if this is true, I'll move to look at the Phoenix Contacts to find an alternative.
Many thanks for the reply.
Have a nice day.
