I am currently using Codesys Control to run a Raspberry Pi as Profinet IO controller. In order to add new Profinet IO devices, change the IO mapping and change the control logic (application running on the IO controller), I am using the Codesys Development System (Windows).
While it is alright to use the Codesys Development System for the initial setup, the Raspberry Pi IO controller would be much more useful if one would not need to use the Windows-based Codesys Development System in order to
add new IO devices (i.e. add their GSDML files)
change the IO mapping
change which data is exchanged via OPCUA
change the application code (control logic)
Is there by any chance such functionality? I.e. is it possible to make any changes of my setup directly on the Raspberry Pi or any way to build the application on the Raspberry rather than on my Windows machine?
Thank you very much for any help.
Kind regards,
Florian
P.S.: not sure if this better fits Engineering or Runtime
