    Hello folks,

i discovered while developing an own library for my companys needs that since V3.5.17.0 the IDE is lacking the library documentation support package.
When i install the custom library, include it in my project and highlight a FB it mentions that the library documentation support package is missing. When I include the library in a project in V3.5.16.40 it will create the documentation successfully and afterwards it is also possible to display the documentation in V3.5.17.10. Though it won't open or show external files such as pictures in /Images/ oder pdf while it does in V3.5.16.40.
I discovered that in V3.5.16.40 there is a folder in C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.16.40\CODESYS called DocScripting which seems to play a role in this matter.
I did a full installation of V3.5.17.10 and would like to know what happened to the function which creates the documentation. I hope it hasn't been dropped with the newest versions. Does anybody have an answer?

    Nice, thanks for the hint.
However, the "Codesys Installer" is not installed with V3.5.17.0 nor V3.5.17.10. I did complete fresh installs of both.
If i see the solution of problem 1 in https://faq.codesys.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=105152517 it should make an entry in the Start Menu. Sadly i still run on Windows 8 at work thus i do not have a start menu and the application tile does not show any Codesys installer.
Can anyone tell to which location/.exe that entry refers?

Ok seems that there is an issue with Codesys on Windows 8 machines.

On my Win 10 laptop the Codesys installer is installed in the directory \program files (x86)\CODESYS\APinstaller\ which simply doesn't happen on Windows 8. There is no directory CODESYS in \program files (x86)\

I copied the files from the Windows 10 machines to my Win 8 workstation and after running APinstaller.Gui.exe it reported that it is missing .NET Core. Probably the installation of Codesys installer failed due to the missing .NET Core. I didn't read the install log after installing V3.5.17.10. However after installing .NET Core i could run Codesys Installer and get the documentation support package
