I've just recently upgraded to Codesys SP18 (patch 4) and are trying to use the "edit object offline" function from the context menu, when rightclicking an object.
In SP14 it would open the object in the editor in an offline version, which i would be able to edit while I was online on the plc and it was in run.
In SP18 when I do the same, it seems to open the object in the editor, just as it would normally, meaning I'm not able to edit the object.
Is there some functionality you need to enable to do this in SP18?
I've attached a picture of how it looks in SP18 as well as how it used to look in SP14.
Hope anyone can help.
(Primary need here is to be able to edit the code of the plc, while its running)
This is a known bug and as far as I know there is not an option to enable this. An alternative method of making on online change without stopping the controller is to "logout", make the change offline, and then choose option "login with online change". This allows you to merge the online change without changing state of the controller. Hope this helps!
