Try using a password instead of a public key to log into the controller. I have a video showing how to do this on a default installation of Ubuntu server, it should work the same for Ubuntu Core. https://youtu.be/rj0dOhgnGjs?si=352PmveEP7JXZnO-
I sign in to the controller at about 6:40 in the video.
(dhumphries) I followed your advice and tried it on Ubuntu Server. Was a good choice. Your material was also very helpful :). Thanks for Your help!
I no longer have problems connecting to Ubuntu. However, I still cannot install Virtual PLC.
I'm currently getting a missing path message:
"C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.19.60\CODESYS\CODESYS Virtual Control for Linux SL\Delivery\virtuallinux\VirtualControlAPI.py."
It looks as the package: "CODESYS Virtual Control for Linux SL" was not installed. But, there isn't one in CODESYS Store or I'm doing something incorrectly.

..this is still not released therefore not available in the CODESYS Installer. This will come to 4.13.0.0 release but if needed preliminary might be possible on demand.

Hello,
Has anyone tried running CODESYS Linux on Ubuntu Core?
I'm having problems installing the runtime. The connection to UC cannot be established.
I used the instruction:
https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Control/_rtsl_linux_public_key_authentification.html
I can connect to UC using SSH (putty, shell). Codesys can't.
Do any of you have an idea?

I have never tried to remove the public key and revert to signing in using a password, but it looks pretty straightforward https://askubuntu.com/questions/745423/how-to-turn-off-password-less-login-for-ssh
