    Hi

I have been having issue where the git addon with codesys is causing havoc with my projects. The latest one is, when I try to change branches I get a popup window:
An Error occurred while executing Checkout branch.....: Permission denied: Rule '4' failed with state 'True'. See screenshot attached.

    Please advise.

Install "regular" git on your machine parallel to the CODESYS Git Client and checkout the branch via regular Git Command line interfacce (CLI) for better feedback on what is going on.

The regular git commandline is a powerful tool however, it should not be too difficult to understand if you have some experience with the Git CODESYS visual client. Reference google or use the git cli help if you are stuck.

      Hi

Will give it a go thanks. Its just kind of sad, that the git integration into Codesys is so bad we cant get proper error messages.... today I have a new error when switching branches... hopefully the CLI can point me in the right direction.

just curious, do you use SP18P2 and CODESYS Git addon V1.2.1.0? there were supposed to be loads of fixes around merging in V1.2.

      Hi

So I am running Codesys 3.5 SP17 (64Bit) Patch 2, with Codesys Git 1.1.0.0. If I update codesys will users with older versions of Codesys and Git still be able to work with my projects?

No. You should plan to move your team to SP18P2 as soon as possible, at least for the Development Environment.
