    Hi,

I'm re-doing an assignement for my studies. The software that has been provided by my study is now outdated. I've updated to Codesys V3.5 SP19. I am relatively new at this. I'm trying to export my tags and checking them using Matrikon OPC Explorer. The Tags are not showing and I get the line 'Operation: CmpID = 0x00000019, ID = 0x1, enable = 1, alive = 0, timeout = 10000 [FAILED]' in the control win x64. Is this related or am I dealing with two sepperate issues? And how can I solve my issue(s)? Anyone who can help please?

Can you provide more information on which protocol you are using? If OPC-UA, you will need to add a symbol configuration to your project and assign symbol access in the symbol configuration to expose variables over OPC-UA.

    Hi, thanks for your response.
I will try and give as much information as I can think of.
While doing this I wil repeat the test assignment.

So, I am using the following software:
    - Codesys V3.5 SP19
    - CODESYS OPC DA Server SL-demo
    - Matrikon OPC Explorer (v 5.4.0.0, I think)

I am doing the following (I wil also provide some screenshots)
    - Create a new (standard project, Device: Codesys control win V3 x64, PLC_PRG:FBD)
    - Create a program and generate the code
    - Start Codesys control win V3 x64
    - Scan the network to create a path to the controller (from this point on it starts giving this error)
    - Add a symbol configuration and press build
    - Select the variables I wish to export and build again
    - Login
    - Start the OPC configurator (make sure my device adres is correct)
    - Start Matrikon OPC
    - Login to Codesys.OPC.DA
    - Aaand somehow the variables are showing up now.... Haven't got a clue what is different this time.. I have litterely done this about 10x now. Including together with my teacher and it has not worked a single time..
Also the connection to Reliance, which I use as a visualization tool, works.

    The error still shows though..
Can this cause a problem in the future?
