CoDeSys libraries for BECKHOFF EL7332/EL7342

    Good morning,

    Does anybody know about the existance of CoDeSys libraries for these Beckhoff devices?

    I would like to control 24V DC motors using ETHERCAT but I cannot find anything related to it.

    I never used these, but it seems it is based on some variables which you can read/write to control it.
    To use this in combination with CoDeSys V3, you need to have a device which is EtherCAT master.
    Then you need to install the .xml files in the device repository (menu Tools=>install device).

    Download the zip file and install at least the "Beckhoff EL7xxx.xml"
    After installing it you can add it to your EtherCAT I/O configuration and access the variables.

    put this message in codesys v2.3 forum.
    look at w www.oscat.de w for some 'simple' libraries.

    need more info please tell me the Processor you are using.
    yes this block can also be used for a stepper motor.

    Hi,

    step 1 : go to beckhoff website, go to required IO card, go to download option in that, go to XML donlowad and download the file

    Step2 : Go to codesys software, go to tools - deviceRepository - install that downloaded file.
