Hi all,

I am hoping you will be able to advise on why I have lost the connection via codesys to my eaton XC303 PLC.
I was connected and monitoring values and then I was updating an HMI that uses the codesys protocol to integrate tags. When I downloaded the new HMI project I lost the connection to the PLC.
Eaton support answer is to power cycle the PLC, however this is a remote system and don't have a means to do so.

Is there anything remotely I can get to try to restore this connection, without a reboot.

I am not an expert but it sounds like the connection dropped suddenly (for what reason I don't know) but it was not disconnected properly and something in the PLC has hung up.
As far as I can tell the PLC is still running - webvisu works, modbus to another PLC on the same network is working and I can ping the PLC.

As another note that other PLC on the same network I can connect via codesys without issue. Connecting via Windows VPN.

I have had the connection running for some months now without issue, until I tried to update the HMI it seems to have fallen over.

Let me know what details are needed to try and diagnose this, really appreciate the help.

Thanks
