I am currently trying to read some sensor data via an IFM AL1120 IO-link master to an EPEC6200 PLC. I am using the eds file provided by ifm. I've configured all the ethernet ports and I can ping the master when I connect it directly to my laptop. I have the license for the IP scanner installed as well. But when I connect the master to the PLC it shows "configure encapsulation layer" and that the bus is not running. I can't even ping it anymore "destination host unreachable" What am I missing here? Do I need to add some special parameter to the assembly data? I've read the ifm operating manual and I can't seem to find anything about this encapsulation layer.
