To my knowledge you can't modify a text list at run time. (but I am not 100% sure)
You might want to create an array instead for the combo box to you.
If you need multi-Language support on your combo box there are ways to do that at run time, but it is going to get tricky. I haven't done that yet though. I have only read about it.
