Hi! I know this issue is too old but today I had the same problem and suddenly I couldn't open Codesys window. My solution after several attempts was just to open task administrator and when Codesys is running, right click in Codesys application and select "bring to front" option. Magic!

CodeSys V3.5 SP9 Patch 4 wont open, every time I try to, I get this error message:
Failed to instantiate the frame window. Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. The application will be terminated
I've tried re-installing the software twice, rebooted on many occasions but yet I still get that error message.
Any ideas?
Solved. Just re-installed it and it worked.
