I know from here (https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z000000kGJBSA2&l=de-DE) that the EtherCAT protocol allows up to 65.535 slaves. But is there a known Limitation by means of licsense type SC/MC or other technical limitations?
