Some visualisation don't work or display on the HMI

Hi, I want to use a slider on my HMI, I can get it to display but I can't drag the slider across at all.

Also some of the other controls don't show on the HMI, they just come up as a red cross.

Could anyone explain how to get them working?

I just assigned a variable to the slider and it worked.
