While reading the value of a slave device, it shows error frequently and i need to restart my PLC for getting the communication back. In codesys it shows the slave in Red color with error status. How to solve the above

You should only open de COM port once and then leave it open. This hCom should not keep on incrementing. (off course when you are done communicating, you need to close the COM port)

Did you check the communication with a sniffer ? (ex. Wireshark) to check if the holding get to zero by a wrong writing (client initialization?) o something else?

I'm not really sure what you are trying to do, but maybe you are referring to using the CmpCharDevice library? When you "open" the connection to a device, you can pass flags. What helped me is to set the non-blocking flag. gatto, That works. Thanks. Typically I use my mouse more than my keyboard. That's why I was looking for a delete option from the right-click context menu or a delete button on a toolbar at the top. It never occured to me to use the keyboard. It might be a little more user friendly if they allowed a mouse wise ability to remove a line from the grid as well as the DEL key. Just a suggestion. Hello Everyone. I have a question about the SVN module on Codesys. I am using Codesys V3.5.10 and installed Codesys SVN 4.2.5.1 but when i try to connect my SVN to codesys i have a message saying that there is no license for accessing the Url. I searched on the codesys store and it seems that "CODESYS Professional Developer Edition" is needed? Am i right? Do i also need to buy a USB key? Is there another edition but only for the SVN? If you use 3.5 SP10, then Git is not supported. SVN will work fine, but with this version you do need a USB key, because software licenses are not supported with this version. Off course you can work without SVN (or Git), but especially if you work with multiple developers on one project, it will save you a lot of time and you can keep track of all changes and improvements much easier. So how much is this worth to you?

I’m currently working on establishing a TLS connection with an MQTT broker using the MQTT Client SL package in CODESYS. While I’ve successfully established communication with the broker without TLS, I'm encountering issues when trying to enable TLS. In the 'MQTT Explorer' application, I can easily upload the server certificate (.crt), client certificate (.crt), and client key (.key). However, in CODESYS, I can’t find a way to upload my client key (.key file). Here's a summary of my current setup: Certificates: I have uploaded both the client and server certificates to the certificate store under the 'Trusted Certificates' folder in the security screen. TLS Context Initialization: Despite setting the _sCommonName as the name of my client certificate, a new self-signed certificate is created and placed within the device’s certificates. I then need to manually move this certificate to the trusted certificates folder. It can only be applied to signatures. By default, the initialization sequence for variables from global variable lists is undefined! However, if, for example, variables from one list depend on variables from another list, it is necessary to initialize one before the other. (Aee OLH and Syntax) The placeholder <slot> must be replaced by an integer value that defines the position in the initialization sequence.</slot> The default value is 50000. A lower value causes an earlier initialization! If several signatures have the same value for the 'global_init_slot' attribute, the order of their initialization remains undefined! Cautious application should therefore be considered! Example: The project contains f.e. two global variable lists GVL_1 and GVL_2. The global variable "A" is part of the global variable list GVL_1: {attribute 'global_init_slot' := '300'} VAR_GLOBAL A : INT:=1000; END_VAR The initialization values of the variables "B" and "C" of GVL_2 are dependent on the variable "A". {attribute 'global_init_slot' := '350'} VAR_GLOBAL B : INT:=A+1; C : INT:=A-1; END_VAR So if you set the 'global_init_slot' attribute of the global variable list GVL_1 to 300, i.e. to the lowest initialization value in the example, then it is ensured that the expression "A+1" is well-defined at the time of initialization of "B".
