Installing codesys has been the biggest point of frustration for me and is the reason I'm currently working on building a VM just for the codesys engineering software so once I get a working installation I can copy the VM to new workstations instead of fighting with the installer every time I get a workstation upgrade. The best advice I've gotten in the past is to uninstall everything and start over, this is successful 50% of the time. Also don't install the latest version it's usually less stable than an older one ironically.

I'm using the 64 bit version of the engineering software, but the codesys installer seems to be 32 bit. im trying to use the installer to manage my installations but when I open it with admin privelages it starts an automatic update immediately then deletes itself. I don't know how else to explain this. This isn't a repository problem, or a problem with the engineering software, it is a problem with the installer.

Hi, I was trying to figure out how to correctly handle system exceptions in a CODESYS project, but either the documentation falls short, or I'm unable to find the proper docs. I know I can register a function as an exception handler via Task Configuration > System Events > Add Event Handler, which will create a function with the correct interface; I am, however, unable to figure out what the returned DWORD is supposed to be, if anything. Is the interface for the exception handler documented and, if so, where can I find it?

I am attempting to place a block and make it an Analog sensor. When I go to change the name like in the instructional video on youtube it does not give me an option to autofill the block with a known configuration. This is a problem I have in Codesys 2.5 and 3.5. Did I mess up the install of the program or need to install a library? In the past, I tried to ask in "Forge" about this topic, but I could find neither help nor document informations about it. Reading the file "codesyscontrol.log" I see these logs OPC UA Server Started: Hostname: NTLRPICTRL01, Port: 4840 URL: opc.tcp://NTLRPICTRL01:4840 Loopbackadapter activated. **All available networkadapters are used.** Multithreading activated. 3 workers used. My controller, which is a Linux PC, has got two network cards eth0 and eth1 I whant to use the card with name "eth0" as a server for OPCUA and keep the "eth1" free for other stuffs. Is it possible ? I have a project in Codesys v3.5 sp19 patch2 that contains softmotion virtual axes. I want to simulation the code (softmotion) on the simulated plc on the pc. The controller in the project is a Codesys Softmotion Win V3 x64. I have started up the Codesys Softmotion Win 64 on the pc. However it seems a 3.5 sp14 controller. When trying to download the project, I get a message that target system is different from connected system (3.5.19 vs 3.5.14). How do I set the connected system to 3.5.20 (there seems no way to set the target system to 3.5.14
