Hello. I'm trying to use RecipeManCommands.ReloadRecipes Method for getting recipes from files. When I call the method it does not generate any error but also not reload any recipe to the recipe definition. Actually I have 6 recipe files on the directory PlcLogic. The rest of the methods work creating recipes, saving to file, etc. Does any one have the same issue? it is something to be set on the recipe manager?

Hello everyone, im working with IFM CR0020 controller via RS232 protocol where im trying to connect it to my PC but, every time when im using the maintenance tool to identify the device i get the error "The baud rate could not be determined" i have tried to change the cable of RS232 with different types but the error presist, any idea how to fix it

I'm looking to automatically select a text field element in my visualization. I'm not sure if this is possible, as I don't know how to get the data on specific elements. I am wanting automatic selection of the text field, as I am using a keyboard-input barcode scanner, which should always input the barcode into the text field whenever a barcode is scanned. Does anyone know if this can be done?

Hello everybody I have two of these EtherCat CiA402 stepper driver from Leadshine: https://www.leadshine.com/product-detail/EM3E-556E.html I want to controll them. I already have implemented them in Codesys with Softmotion. I see the position, the velocity and the status word so I can read everything. See picture 1. But when I want to write something like MC_Power or MC_MoveAbsolut with the SM3_Basic library it wont work and with the MC_Reset POU it shows: "SMC_R_DRIVE_DOESNT_ANSWER". See picture 2. Disable the setting "Support client animations and overlay of native elements" in the Visu Manager. Activating this setting should also set a compiler define (GENERATE_OVERLAY_VISU). Hi, I would like to automate opening some specific pous and visualisations in the codesys environment I found out that I can open it by using : system.commands["42f6acb9-bd6e-42e7-94bb-6e2a03973b83"].execute() But the POU has to be selected in the Devices or POUs navigator. Does anyone know how I can select a specific POU in the navigator? Or how I can open a specific POU? I can retreive the guid of the POU. Thx

When trying to move my axis using any group move instruction I get the following error: SMC_CP_INVALID_PATH_ELEM and axisgroup goes into errorstop state. I tested my methods thoroughly which makes it hard for me to debug. Are there some hidden rules I need to abide to? How would one go about debugging a custom robotics model, since the information inside isn't accesible. Is it possible to find the source of where the function breaks? Any hint in the right direction would be appreciated. Best regards

Hi, I clone a git repository with VersionUpdateFlags.SilentMode, works fine But now I want to checkout a specific commit (with branch_copy command). When using the branch_copy command there is no VersionUpdateFlags and I get this annoying "Project Environment" prompt, blocking further execution of my script without user input. I already tried something like system.prompt_answers[???] = PromptResult.Cancel but I don´t know the string I need here.. The goal is to have a script that clones a repository and compiles every tag + create compiled libraries.

Hello New W11 machine. I've tried installing and the 'Codesys installer' appeared, which basically failed. This was the exe from the Store. I've now tried installing with an old copy of SP17, which didn't try and use the Codesys installer, but has hung at the 'Install all packages added to the setup' stage. Has the exe been updated to use the Codesys installer? What is the installer? Do we think it'll work on w11? thanks, Paul

OK, I got this to work as shown above in mos89p's comment. What I did: Tools/Update Raspberry Pi. Reloading the runtime seems to have solved the web problem. I can view the visualization on the Pi and laptop using a browser as shown above. Thanks! But Isn't the visualization supposed to take over the screen of the Raspi? When I run visu projects on Windows or Wago, the visualization shows on that device's screen by default.. But this is not happening in this case

Hello, I have been having trouble getting a visualization to show up on the RasPi. I have previously used both WAGO touchscreen and Windows ControlWin and had no trouble. The visu does not show on the Raspi screen on start of the program and attempts to view in a browser both on the Raspi (Chromium) and from my laptop (Brave,Chrome,Firefox) running Codesys development fail. The visu shows correctly in Codesys development when online. (Win 11) The control code that is active is operating correctly. Raspi Codesys runtime is licensed. What am I missing? Thanks!

on a raspberry pi delete the folder and its content before licensing. /var/opt/codesys/cmactlicense If you plug this SD card in another raspi ( which has another hw-serial number) you'll get a second empty softcontainer. This could lead to an unlicensed PFC (it could only handle one container) The solution is: To delete the /var/opt/codesys/cmactlicense directory and content of it and then aktivate the lizenz via WibuCmRau file and Lizenzmanager.

Hi I recently started learning Codesys SoftMotion. At first, I mainly used YouTube videos. I stopped at two videos where the same problem keeps recurring. fbReadPos( Axis := X_Axis, Enable := TRUE, Position => gAxes.lrActualPos); <- axis cannot move I checked the entire code line by line. Zero errors. GPT spits out nonsense, throwing up increasingly worse errors. And when I copy its code, it says the code is wrong and gets stuck in a loop of its own stupidity. Why must you use a method? Top of my head can't you just use the button to turn on a bit and use it in a normal task? Just turn a bit on with the button, and run a TON from it in code, and turn it back off with the ton. And then just log the pressure on both the rising & falling edge?

I want to cancel the automatic address allocation for all IO mappings. If I directly set the automatic_iec_address in class ScriptIoMapping to False, the address becomes None. So I reset manual_iec_address with itselfs value. It only work with the Input IOMapping . For output, it reports an error: "Invalid address: The channel type 'Output' requires address type '%Q'." I checked the description file ,both accessRight are total same. Does anyone know what causes this?

I think that I'm trying to install the soft container from CODESYS development system, where I have the licensed installed in the License Repository. Let's say I have a CODESYS controller (PLC) with a runtime version around 3.5.19. If I use development software version 3.5.21.40 or a later version that will be released in the future for programming, could there be any problems or malfunctions in the controller's program execution or in the execution of the new, updated function blocks from the newer software? I mostly work with servo-based motion applications, so please keep that in mind when answering, and provide a detailed answer so I don't have to email you again about this topic.

Hi aniket-b, this error has nothing to do with the scara3 kinematics, or robotics, or SoftMotion. It means that the EtherCAT bus is not synchronized. The usual cause is that the realtime of the PLC is not sufficient. That's what I found as well Shaun. I have seen it at least in versions 3.5.21.1 and 3.5.21.3. There seems to be an issue with the FBD/LD package v4.6.0.0. The workaround proposed by Tim works but needs to be done manually on every code change/addition. For now we manually downgrade the FBD/LD package from v4.6.0.0 down to v4.5.0.0 after installation of CoDeSys. Same as you did. I hope this gets fixed on a next patch.

Hello, I have a problem that randomly appeared today. When trying to scan a network adapter in "Deploy Control SL" the whole program hangs and needs to be restarted. I have been running "CODESYS v3.5 SP21 Patch 3" for a while and it has worked without any issues until now. I've tried upgrading to "CODESYS v3.5 SP21 Patch 4" with the same result. I've not made any system settings recently that im aware of which could cause this. Has anybody had similar a issue?

I'm building up a 2nd PC to match an existing developer PC. Installed the same SP and Patch levels but when I open a project that was created on the existing PC, Codesys complains that it's not the same version. Attaching a screenshot..... What else is there to match? Also, can all of the libraries that are on the existing machine be copied from it to the new machine and if so, how? (So I get the same versions) Which files/folders do I copy? Thanks! -Farren
