Greetings to all, I'm working on a webvisu project on control win V3 x64 runtime, and have purchased 3 licenses for my application. -Codesys Control Standard M -Codesys Visualization L -Codesys Communication M I have them installed on a Codesys usb dongle When I try to download the program, a login error window appears with the message "No valid license found for the webvisualization". The control win v3 communicates with 3 plc, and have enabled communication over codesys V3 communication by adding one datasource for every plc in the datamanager. If I remove the data manager from the project, the rest of the visualisation can be downloaded normally. Do I need to purchase another License and which one? Please find attached the software metrics and the error screen.

Hello everyone, I have been trying to test the auto-login feature that is advertised on the Release Notes since Visu 4.8: *Version: 4.8.0.0 Besides some bug fixes and improvements this version contains the following new functionality: Alarmmanagement: Possibility to raise alarms programmatically Use real time clock of IEC context Automatic login for WebVisu using Chrome "Sign in automatically"* I am using a personalized login Visualization, the User Management works, however, when ticking the checkbox that keeps the credentials stored, after I reload the page I still see that the user and password details are not filled in. I tried with the default Login Visu (Blue one), and still see the same behavior - VisuUserManagement.VUM_LoginVisualization - I've tried with Chrome and Edge. Thanks for your help

Hello everyone, I have the task of programming a map. With the help of the visualization element "Table", I have managed to accomplish this. In the Input Configuration, I activated the option: "Write Variables", so that the user can change the values in the map. To test the program, I select the Online Mode (Simulation).There I change the values in the map. When restarting the program in CODESYS, the changes in the map are no longer there. I have the Opening and Closing working, but I can’t get the dialogue's position to be controlled. Hi, I was hoping I could send the two files "application.app" and "application.crc" directly to the directory "/home/codesys/PlcLogic/Application" instead of logging into the device with codesys, downloading the program to the controller and then do the "create boot application", so it will reboot with the correct program running. I think i also need to edit the file "eRUNTIME.cfg" located in the "/home/codesys/ folder, because when I create the boot application from the codesys IDE, these lines are added to the file: [CmpApp] Application.1 = Application [SysFileMap] /home/codesys/PlcLogic/Application/Application.app=0x212520, 0x2DBC747E, 2DBC747E.app I think the "eRUNTIME.cfg" file is the same as CODESYSControl.cfg I also dont know the purpose of the hexadecimal numbers etc. that is generated. When I tried to replicate what codesys was doing, I placed the same files in the same folder as when codesys generated the boot file. And also added the lines in the eRUNTIME.cfg file: [CmpApp] Application.1 = Application [SysFileMap] /home/codesys/PlcLogic/Application/Application.app The controller did not boot up with any program, so my method did not work at all. I guess these lines tells the controller to run an application and where to find it? Could any of you help me with the best way to get the compiled program to the controller without using codesys or wago-software?

A first axis moves primarily in velocity, except having to position itself absolutely at a predetermined point at the end of the job; the second axis, on the other hand, is a paper unwinder that changes, for each job cycle, from actions in absolute, relative, and cam displacement with the master axis. Hi, I am trying to make my runtime support TargetViso on 4.12.0.0 runtime. First when I tried to install package I got error due to missing libraries that are generated through qt-base. After compiling and installing related qt lib when I tried to install the package, I didnt get lib dependencies error but I got another error: [ERROR] The installed QT Version does not meet the minimum required version 6.4.2. Please install version 6.4.2 or higher and try again. When I check Qt version I get the following response QMake version 3.1 Using Qt version 6.5.0 in /usr/local/qt6/lib. I tried with Qt version 6.9.0 but that didn't help. Any idea on what coudl be the reason. When I looked for codesys related processes the related libraries were included within environment.

I don't exactly recall where (I think some release notes), but I read the information that this multiple application / sub application feature is to be discontinued. Please, correct me, if I'm not right about this I am a bit sad about that - I was using that feature with more or less success. However I understand the reason behind the change: it introduces huge complexity, especially when dealing with multicore and safety support... AS I understand, it's to be replaced with the new virtual plc architecture, and standard ways for synchronizing / sharing data... So, for now the "Add application" context menu item was removed, but behind the scene it is still supported... Hint: if you still want to experiment with it, might try copy-paste things within the PLCLogic tree...

Hello everybody I am new into Codesys. I have a stepper driver (EM3E-556E) from Leadshine. I want to controll the stepper driver via EtherCat to a ST programm but I dont have any function block or anything that i can use. I only have the XML-File wich I loaded. With it I implemented the drive as a Ethercat slave and now I see these variables. (See picture) I dont know how to controll the stepper drive. And the manufacturer doesnt provide support for me. Can anybody help me or atleast tell me how they would do it?

Despite correctly configuring the placeholder in the CODESYSControl_User.cfg file to allow access to an external folder, CODESYS doesn't seem to write any files, and no errors are reported. The issue on the older versions was absent with no placeholders. I've checked the operating system permissions, and they seem to be in order, but the issue remains. Has anyone faced a similar situation or has any suggestions on how I might resolve this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support. There is an issue with adding the visu styles to the archive with Visu add-on 4.9.0.0 and 4.9.1.0. When you create the projectarchive disable the option to add the style(s) to the archive. CODESYS support informed me it will be fixed with visu add-on 4.10.0.0 (May 26th 2026). An alternative is to start CODESYS as Administrator. Then it will work with styles as well. You could start CODESYS as Administrator by first opening the CODESYS Installer. At the bottom you can select to start the Installer as Administrator. If you do this and then start the CODESYS version from this installer, it will work.

Hi after some assistance with an error on a Groov PR2 PLC. We have a few different communications set up as shown below: One Modbus TCP Slave Connection - ( Sending / Receiving Data from a PC ) Two Modbus TCP Master Connection - ( Reading Data from a UPS Panel and Reading Data Gas Chromatograph) One Modbus RTU Slave Connection 485 - (Reading Data from a fire and gas panel) One Modbus RTU Master Connection 485 - (Sending Data to a Telemetry Unit) All Licenses have been installed as per OPTO22 suggestions of the order below: Modbus TCP Master Modbus TCP Slave Modbus RTU Master Modbus RTU Slave When I check on License manager the RTU Master license seems to disappear on installing the RTU. (What ever reason I’ve been told this is “normal”). If I use Device License Read It will successfully read all the licenses correctly. Now the issue is every 2 hours and between 4. For what ever reason the communications seems to end and lock up for about 20 seconds. During this time even if I was logged into the PLC it would kick me off and I’d have to re type the password to enter. Most of the devices can handle this however the RTU flags up a communications failure at the SCADA and is raising alarms every 2 hours and 4 mins. We’ve had multiple people go through the code to check for anything obvious. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have a Array of constant size defined like this Var Constant MAX_SIZE :UINT := 10; End_var VAR array : ARRAY[0..MAX_SIZE] OF INT; END_VAR Now I want to pass this array to a function by reference, Function fun : INT VAR_IN_OUT CONSTANT MAX_SIZE : UINT; END_VAR VAR_INPUT array : REFERENCE TO ARRAY[0..MAX_SIZE] OF INT; END_VAR but when I run this it gives strange Errors Error : Cannot Convert type 'ARRAY [0..MAX_SIZE] OF INT' to type 'ARRAY[0..MAX_SIZE] OF INT'

Thank you for an answer. Unfortunatelly, it doesn't work. The slave needs command byte as follows 0x22. It means expedited transfer where s-bit is not set, therefore data length is not specified. If I use segmented mode by CiA405.SDO_WRITE_DATA it produce command byte as follows 0x21 which is unfortunately supported by the slave and it returns with error 0x05040001 - SDO Abort Code -Client/server command specifier not valid or unknown. I can use CAN API low level to overcome this problem where it is possible to set 0x22 as a command byte, but than I can use user interface to set the communication probably, because I thing that machine expert uses library CiA405.SDO_WRITE for setting the slave. Or am I wrong?

The machine I'm currently using (Celeron J1900) already has the Kernel RT patch. I checked the performance according to the documentation. After running CyclicTest for 4 cores, the value for each core is around 6-7. I went through the entire process according to the documentation (I envy the TaskMonitor results in the documentation). The documentation states: "CODESYS Virtual Safe Time Provider The CODESYS Virtual Safe Time Provider is a standard interface that the user can use to transfer a second and external time base to the CODESYS Virtual Safe Control. The implementation is done as a client, which must run on another system with an independent time base." How do I implement this? I've been struggling for two weeks now - I'm too old to give up.
