Not sure what you mean but you can define a visu initialization program and call it once at the visu initialization step. Look in the Visualization Manager there is a possibility to define such a program.

From your examples I was able to manage the different factories, even for custom elements. Now I need a hashtable, but with this object I’m running into a lot of random access violations. If I append something inside FB_Init after constructing the hashtable, it crashes, even though the list was already created. If I only create the hashtable in FB_Init and append afterwards, it usually works. I installed IIoT package and added the SMS library, But something is wrong, when I init communication it doesn't work, When I sniffer my communication (AT commands) beetwen RS232 RaspberryPi and my GSM modem I have only below commands: AT+CMEE=1 OK AT+CPIN? +CPIN: READY Anyone have idea what can be wrong ?

Hi, In our project, it is not rare to have I/O cards issues. I wanted to have a way to check their statuses ( Eg. INIT, OP, PREOP, etc.. ) I was trying to use the GetDeviceDiagnosisInfo method from the IoConfig_Globals, but there is no info available on the Web with a simple example; does someone have a link to some tutorial or anything else ? This explanation aligns with the issues we’re experiencing with our machines. The scenario I described is happening with one of them (let’s call it Machine A). This machine is identical to another one (Machine B), except for some custom code that facilitates communication with an external Beckhoff PLC for MES integration in the production line. Machine B has been powered on and off daily for at least three months and has never had this problem. Given that, I highly doubt the MES custom code is the cause of the code corruption. This being said, your explanation does seem plausible. However, if faulty EtherCAT cables were the issue, why wouldn't the error occur during normal operation? Why would bad cables only cause problems during a hard shutdown? One last question: When you encountered this behavior, did you see a similar error in your logs? i.e, an "AccessViolation" exception in the EtherCAT Task?

Hi Dave. Thanks for your answer. I still struggling with this. I have done everything according with the Codesys help even I have looked in detail at the example. I have double checked the recipe manager configuration and the use of all the methods. There are two methods that do not work as expected. I'm using Codesys 3.5.19.20 and recipe management 4.4.0.0 .CreateRecipe just create a recipe in the recipe definition but do not create the file. This have a walk around just giving a .ReadAndSaveRecipe afterwards. .ReloadRecipes do nothing but do not generate any error as well. After calling it I call the .GetRecipeCount and the number is always 0. When I create a new recipe (using the function block methods) then the number changes. Looks like this method is looking to the wrong directory finding nothing. I don't know if there is a missing configuration in the CODESYSControl.cfg file. I'm thinking in a walk around for this but I need to create a strings array with the recipe names as retentive and making all the management when deleting and adding recipes. Have had some one the same problem?

Hi, I have a Linux 64Bit system with a Codesys application running on it. It stops after 2hours and a few minutes, which makes me think something is wrong with the installed license. (in my last timing it stopped after 2h4min, on the codesys website it is stated that runtimes without a license stop after 2h) I installed the license via a USB license dongle that I activated on my workstation with the Codesys IDE a while ago. Now the system is shipped at not accessible physically, only remotely via SSH. So is there a way to check the status of the License of the Codesys runtime when it is running on the system? Running the codesyscontrol script with "status" just tells me that it is running, but does not provide any license information. Best regards

Raspberry Pi CM4 after some 1 week of work was hard reset mannualy several times and after these hard resets User Management file was missed (when click login button, enter login/password, error: User Management File missed). Also programm can not open file via SysFile library, but this file exists and size of him is 0 bytes, but must be more any way (I keep some kind of archive via this lib). What happens, how files corrupted? Where do I need try to find this error of the codesys or system whole? In the log files of codesys nothing interesting about this happens. Thanks for reading Is this enough hold PlcLogic and SysFileMap.cfg as reserve copy in another place for restoring the programm? And how automate restoring actions if programm files corrupted?

Hello everyone, I have a web visualization on Codesys and to be able to use the web visualization first an user and a password is requested. After the user logged in, I want to automatically change the visualization to the 'Home' visualization but I am not sure how to do this. In the login visualization I basically have a button with the input configuration to execute the action 'Login' after a click. Once the user is logged in, the visualization is still stuck in the login page and I want to automatically change to Home visualization if the user was succesfully logged in. How can I know the number of web visualization clients connected to my PLC? Thanks in advance

Hi There, When using the new ladder editor there is no option for function blocks to Remove uncalled FB call parameters. I also see no update function block. When you double click the function block it no longer opens the function block. I also now get warnings if I insert FB call without a contact in front. Warning is: (Impl)): C0373: Expression or part of it has no effect I take it the new editor must work differently? The only reason for using new ladder editor is the ST execute/block editing is far better, If you have alot of text in the old ST execute the editor window is very small and when online it's even worse. The new ST block seems a lot better Thanks!

Hi, I have an issue with a function which sends a message through API Rest. I'm using a function from httpCLient library. I have tested this function inside a program and it works fine. But when I want to use it inside a function (so I can call it simultaneously from 2 different points on the main program) it gives a stack overflow error. In detail it says: "C0297 Stack Overflow on Main Task. Stack sizes... Call hierarchy:" I have simplified as much as I can the function, but I'm hitting a wall with this. Anybody has an idea of what's wrong? Thanks!

Hello, CODESYS Control is running on my RevPi, and my system communicates over a CANbus with a master using the ConnectCan module (Slave - CANopen Device). The communication works perfectly fine so far. However, as soon as I call a Python script with "SysProcessExecuteCommand2" that creates a CSV file and executes without errors, the master does not adopt any changes to the Transmission Process Data Objects (TPDOs). I don't quite understand what one has to do with the other, and perhaps someone can help me with this. Solved! Go to Control Panel -> Windows Defender Firewall -> Allow an app or feature Enable the options to change settings. Scroll down the list of applications to CODESYS and CODESYS ControlService. If you do not see this application, add it to the list. Make sure all checkboxes are checked (Domain, Private, and Public).

Hi kporter, a more direct way would be to use SMC_FollowPosition to write the set positions directly to the servo drive. This FB has reacts on changes of the fSetPosition on each call, without a need for a rising edge on Execute. Call 10 FB instances. Connect Motor_1_Fault to the i_xHW_FaultDetected pin of FB 1, Motor_2_Fault to FB 2... By doing this, your FB will be flexible. The programming will be smooth like a perfect Drift Boss, instead of "hitting the wall" because it can't be reused!
