In Visualization, is there any way to make special characters in a string display properly in a Text object? I wrote a function block to create QR codes at runtime. My code uses “$DB,” which in ASCII should render as a solid block. The code works, but to display it in Visualization I had to create multiple rectangles with visibility bound to a BOOL array. That works, but since each BOOL must be exposed as a separate variable, it consumes most of the available monitoring resources. See Attached image.

Hallo, I have a strange problem with the recipe manager. ISSUE: When using RecipeManCommands not all values are loaded correctly. Saving a recipe with CreateRecipe(), ReadAndSaveRecipe() or ReadAndSaveRecipeAs() works without any problems. BUT: LoadRecipe(), WriteRecipe() or LoadFromAndWriteRecipe() do not load the data correctly. It is Interesting that we have a different error pattern with LoadRecipe() than with WriteRecipe() or LoadFromAndWriteRecipe(). LoadRecipe() does not load all data and WriteRecipe() or LoadFromAndWriteRecipe() overwrites some data or assigns it incorrectly. And it is also strange that LoadRecipe() writes the values to the PLC. Normally it doesn’t do it. It makes no difference whether the memory type is textual or binary. I have an object consisting of STRUCTs which is inserted in the recipe definition. Environment: Codesys V3.5 SP19 Patch 4 (64Bit), Recipe Management 4.2.0.0 *Add a project (reduced to the problem)

Hi erveyone, Rau here, first time asking on CODESYS Forge: When working with my servodrives, a special behaviour is required on dsp402 0x60B8 object, a control that is not supported by MC_TouchProbe. For this reason, I'd like to ask: Anyone knows if there is any way to bypass or change the softmotion axis writting into 0x60B8 object? My main problem is that MC_TouchProbe.TriggerInput.iTriggerNumber only allows to choose between TP 1 and TP 2 (not both at the same time). iTriggerNumber only allows values [0, 1, 2, 3], other values triggers an error in the FB, wether SMC_TP_COMM_ERROR for values [4, 5, 6, 7] and SMC_TRIGGER_OUT_OF_RANGE with any other value. So you need to save values from HMI in RETAIN and restore them after start of application.

When you have a deep object structure where not all values are not exposed to OPC UA, the top object will not have a V check mark but be filled fully out. In that case CODESYS do not always registrate changes to inner object. Solution set a V in the checkbox of the top object, build, download. Now you can browse, but all values in the top object will be selected, then you can deselect the ones you don't want, build, download and it works

Hello everyone, I encountered a problem in the simulation while working. In a test project we set up a Modbus connection. We wanted to simulate this with test values. The connection also worked, but unfortunately the values are frozen and do not report any “current data”. (Picture attached) Since these are my first points of contact with Codesys and my colleague continues to work elsewhere, I was hoping that someone here might have an idea. It turns out that you can build JSON structures without ever calling the JSONBuilder function block directly. Instead, create a pointer to JSON.JSONData and invoke the necessary methods on its dereference. The parent object has a parent index of -1 (and an index of 0). EVERY other item (including keys, values, empty arrays and sub-objects) created by the setX methods needs the index to increase by 1. Then use the JSONByteArrayWriter FB to generate your JSON string

I am using TargetVisu in my v3.5 sp20 p6 (64-bit) project. I see no control that will allow me to bind, edit, and display a LREAL variable. Am I missing a library? If it exists, why can't I see it?

Hello Tim, I am using CODESYS Visu V4.8.1.0. It works when I turn off the "Support client animation and overlay of native elements". But if I do that, dialog box moving and other options are also disabled so it is a bit problematic. Thank you for helping.

Hi guys, Recently, I am working at the Dynamic I/Os mapping feature in Ecockpit or Codesys v3.5. I have been trying the libraries. However, it looks like it will not work as I wanted. I want to build the PLC which can detect all the I/Os itself and from there, I can do something on these channels. For example, the current setup is one digital input card, one digital output card and one analogue input card. Then, I want to add one more card into the setup e.g. one more digital input. Then, wago screen can detect this and we can assign them to tasks for example to control digital output. May I know is it possible ? Kind regards

Hi, Softmotion Robotics does not support tracking in/out to dynamic coordinate systems with relative movements. Is MC_MoveLinearAbsolute an option? Probably the enum from the library doesn't have text support. In that case you need to add your own TextList to the application. In the rectangle you should use the property "dynamic text" to link this object to the textlist which you have created yourself and then link the text index to your enum variable.

Just a stab in the dark, but you might want to check the Dynamic Limits (accel, decel, velocity, jerk) in the Codesys SoftMotion device configuration, as well as checking similar limits on your servo drive? Are you seeing any errors, or does the MC_SetPosition FB get marked as complete?

Hi kporter, a more direct way would be to use SMC_FollowPosition to write the set positions directly to the servo drive. This FB has reacts on changes of the fSetPosition on each call, without a need for a rising edge on Execute. I'll have a look at this, thanks. Do you maybe know why the C-integration doesn't work? I'm just curious because it was still some effort to create all these files. Ending up with a meaningless error feels very unsatisfying to me...
