However, if faulty EtherCAT cables were the issue, why wouldn't the error occur during normal operation? Why would bad cables only cause problems during a hard shutdown? I don't have the answer to this question. One last question: When you encountered this behavior, did you see a similar error in your logs? i.e, an "AccessViolation" exception in the EtherCAT Task Yes. It was the exeption you can see in attached file.

I ended up figuring it out It wasn't in my code. It kept taking me to 2 of my visualizations but it wasn't going to anything specific. Figured out it was some arrows that I had made to buttons for a mouse click to go to the other visualizations. I removed the text in the assign box but didn't remove the action "change shown Visualization from the list. If I deleted the images all together, the error went away. That's how I thought to go look at that.

Hello, I am new to this forum so apologies if this is posted in the incorrect area. I am getting an error when trying to open the HTML5 Control Editor - this was working fine previous days. I am using Codesys V3.5 SP20 Patch 3. I have reinstalled the application. Below is a screenshot of what shows when I attempt to open HTML5 Control Editor. Would anyone know the solution to rectifying this problem? Thanks in advance. Edit: This is now fixed.

Hi, I have a project in Codesys...and i need update a new version of amster ehtercat and i have a problem. The origianl version with create of project was 3.5.13.10 I can change version to Master Ethercat 3.5.13.10 to 3.5.16.70 but i can´t update the last version 4.4.0.0 (I attached the screen "Version Master OK-NO OK"). In the moment update to the last version appear a lot of error("Version Master NO OK") Can anyone help me please?

Is there a way to access the variable in the called dialog? Example: Text Field element with PLC_PRG.myVar as Text variable. OnMouseClick configured to write variable with keypad pop-up. OnValueChanged configured to Execute ST RND(PLC_PRG.myVar,2); Rather than change myVar with each copy of this Text Field, is there a way to access whatever the configured text variable is? Generally try to stay away from ST in visu, but was curious regardless.

Hallo zusammen, gebe es den die Möglichkeit SPS Shell Commands wie "Cert-Import" ins Programm einzubinden? ich habe versucht meine OPC UA Zertifikate über die sysFile Bibliothek vom Quarantäne zu vertrauenswürdig zu kopieren, was auch geklappt hat, aber das Zertifikat wird erst erkannt wenn ich die Steuerung neu starte. Ich habe mitbekommen das, dass mit der cmpPlcShell Bibliothek funktionieren soll, leider blicke ich bei der Beschreibung nicht durch. Hat da jemand eine Idee ?

Hi, In our project, it is not rare to have I/O cards issues. I wanted to have a way to check their statuses ( Eg. INIT, OP, PREOP, etc.. ) I was trying to use the GetDeviceDiagnosisInfo method from the IoConfig_Globals, but there is no info available on the Web with a simple example; does someone have a link to some tutorial or anything else ? gatto, That works. Thanks. Typically I use my mouse more than my keyboard. That's why I was looking for a delete option from the right-click context menu or a delete button on a toolbar at the top. It never occured to me to use the keyboard. It might be a little more user friendly if they allowed a mouse wise ability to remove a line from the grid as well as the DEL key. Just a suggestion. Thanks for your help.

Hallo, Ich nutze den Stil White Style 3.5.16 mit ein paar farblichen Änderungen über den Stileditor. Was ich gerne machen würde, wäre die Tastaturen zu vergrößern, die sich auf dem Touchpanel öffnen wenn ein INT oder STRING eingegeben werden muss. Gibt es dafür "fertige" Variablen im Editor des Stils oder in Codesys selbst, mit dem die Größe hochskaliert werden kann? Oder muss ich jede Taste einzeln anpacken? Danke im Voraus :)

Hi pernockham, I think you should ask your device vendor. For some time I used one from an Italian company where they had made a library where you can manage the ip with a function (something like SetIPAddr...), it was based on connmann on linux. From my little experience is better to use the "default" way, so for me is to manage the config file on interfaces or use the ip addr utility

we use successful for many years the KEB MFI terminal for Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP,... You'll need a EtherCAT Coupler as "head" from KEB, Kendrion or Berghof. It's all the same board inside: https://www.kebamerica.com/products/ethercat-bus-coupler/ Or the coupler with 16Di/Do integrated: https://www.kebamerica.com/products/ethercat-digital-io-module/ last year I got a EK1100 with EL6731 Profibus treminal runnig. But it was a lot of reverse engineering and thinkering in Codesys and TwinCAT to be done, to get it up, fulfilling my needs. Good luck!

"There are no objects in the export file..." I am using SP21 Codesys IDE and I do not know which version this XML (*.export) file was previously exported with. i had a similar problem trying to send files to C: on local computer. Ended up using Oscat ftp to transfer file with filezilla. i read there is an "write protection", possibly to do with windows, issue with sp19 and up. there are some config files in the codesys dir you can change, which may help. after i was able to transfer to local PC\downloads but not c: so went the ftp route. works well. https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/5cac1390b4/

Dear @gseidel, @tk096, I noticed that with SoftMotion V4.18.0.0, if a new axis is added to the project, the ramp type selection defaults to "Quadratic". In all previous versions, the velocity ramp type selection was "Trapezoidal". This causes some unexpected issues in projects with SoftMotion version V4.18.0.0 for newly created or newly added axes to existing projects. Is it possible to reconsider this situation in the next update and set the velocity ramp type to "Trapezoid" by default again? Best Regards, Imdat

Hi, I try to install the Codesys realtime in a Raspberry PI 3B+. When I click on the installation button I get always the message No connection to device: An established connection was aborted by the server. Raspberry 3B+ with newest raspberry PI OS. Codesys 3.5.15 Patch 1 Codesys Runtime Package 3.5.16.20 SSH is activated. I can login with Putty Ping is possible IP address search is possible Just the installation is not started.

Hallo zusammen, ich habe folgendes Problem. Ich möchte mit der Lib Mail_Service_SL ein Mail versenden. Manchmal funktioniert es auch aber nicht zuverlässig. Wenn ich den Funktionsblock sendmail mit den entsprechenden Daten aufrufe bekomme ich die Fehlermeldung CHECK_RESULT_FAILD. Laut Dokumentation sollte im sServerMessage der Grund stehen, dieser ist aber leer. Was kann der Grund hierfür sein? Gibt es eine ander Lib mit der ich Mails versenden kann? Viele Grüße Micky

I was trying to use subdevicesCollapsed attribute in device descriptor in order to not expand the subdevices when a new device with subdevices is inserted in the device tree. I use this as follows:<fixed subdevicescollapsed="true">. But it seems it doesn`t work. I am ussing Codesys v3.5 SP16 Patch4. Is anything wrong with this? When evaluating Codesys functionality, I found that the VPLC tab under Deploy Control SL > Operation > VPLCs is 'gray-ed out', see attached image. I'm trying to evaluate how my infrastructure will interact with Codesys on a Raspberry Pi 4, so I'm trying to demo running it. I was going through the Codesys tutorial here, and it never shows the tab as grey, so I do not know how to proceed. Let me know if I can get any additional information that can help.

There seem to be problems with the latest version of raspberry pi os 64bit (I used the lite version). The codesys control runtime crashes after a few seconds. The same runtime works on the raspberry pi image from 2023-10-10 When starting the runtime from the commandline, i get the following error: ooops... this runtime was build for RASPBERRYPI. Hardware version or firmware version not supported! (and yes, I'm running this on a raspberry pi :-)

Hi there, I am trying to open a codesys project done by someone else and Once I install all the libraries I get this error [ERROR] : Library Manager [PROJECT 01: PLC Logic: Application]: Could not open library 'SysSocket23, * (System)'. (Reason: The library 'SysSocket23, * (System)' has not been installed to the system.) SysSocket23 is a standard library and I also tried using the same OSCAT library which was from the original computer that made this code. Using CODESYS V3.5 SP18 Patch 2 Please help me how to solve this problem.
