Aber ich scheitere schon an der Installation auf zwei PCs (Win10 / Win11). Problem wie im oberen Link, an beiden PCs, aber unterschiedliche Plug-Ins. Laut Installer sind die Pakete aber Installiert, wenn ich sie Deinstalliere kommen andere Meldungen :D... 3.5 19 habe ich auf Win 10 irgendwann immerhin mal zum Starten bekommen. Wenn ich dann an die Pakete mit den Paketmanager gehe, bekomme ich aber während der Installation auch immer die Fehlermeldung. Was kann da los sein? Ich versuche heute noch einen 3. PC, aber irgendwie ist das ja nicht die Lösung :(. Vor allem das es immer andere Plugins sind zwischen 3.5 19/21 und Win10/11. Also da ist irgendwie keine Richtung drin :(. Kann mir aber nicht vorstellen das dass die Regel ist, sondern ich vermute das ich da was falsch mache. Oder eine andere Abhängigkeit / Installation etwas zerschießt... Grüße Malte edit: auf einem frischen Win11 gehts, was ist mi Codesys da nicht in ordnung? edit2: Ok ich habe alles was mit C++ und Runtime war vorher Deinstalliert. Nach der Installation musste ich aber immer noch Plug-Ins korrigieren. Dann ist Codesys gestartet aber eingefroren. Geholfen hat dann noch das deinstalliere von CodeMaster.

I have a WAGO PLC, to which I am establishing a connection. Here I use the autodiscover to register the connected modules. Now, I have tested the in-/outputs of the different modules, to verify they are consistent with how they are physically connected to the PLC in regards to how CODESYS has numbered them. Will CODESYS always number the modules closest to the PLC itself lowest, and the one furthest away, the highest? I am rather new to the program, so I both hope my question makes sense, as well as not being completely obvious. Thanks!

I have created a library with both code and visualizations to be used in multiple other projects. After I update the library version into the library repository, I have much difficulty updating the version into the main project. I can always update the library version in the Library Manager just fine. My issue, is sometimes Codesys will freeze when opening the visualization that uses the library visualizations. Sometimes it opens, but freezes when I try to access the library visualizations from the Visualization Toolbox. I try letting Codesys run for upwards of 4+ hours and it is stuck in this state. On very rare cases I have no issues and can continue with my work. I haven't found a consistent reason or work around. Has anyone else had this happen?

Hallo Zusammen Evtl. könnt ihr mir dabei helfen. Da ich noch nicht viel Erfahrung habe mit Codesys und EtherNet/IP wollte ich es hier versuchen. Ausgangslage: Ich will eine Verbindung mit EtherNet/IP zwischen wago PFC200 und Feldbuskoppler herstellen. Den WAGO Kontroller und den Feldbuskoppler haben eine IP und sind Ping-bar. Im Codesys haben beide Geräte auch die richtige IP. Beim Verbinden mit dem Kontroller gibt es keine Probleme, jedoch kann keine Verbindung zum Koppler hergestellt werden und ich weiss nicht wieso. Habt ihr schon Erfahrungen damit? Danke euch...

SUMMARIZED VERSION OF QUESTION: I'm trying to connect a Raspberry Pi running "Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi" to a Beckhoff EK1100, unfortunately, when I try to connect I get the following messages SEE FIRST PICTURE DETAILED VERSION OF QUESTION: Hi everyone, I'm a college student that is super interested in learning about PLCs. I wanted to dive into the subject and decided to follow this great Instructables article: https://www.instructables.com/Programming-Raspberry-Pi-With-CODESYS/ Thank you in advance for your help! My current setup is as follows: 1. I have Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi, version 4.14.0.0, (https://store.codesys.com/en/codesys-control-for-raspberry-pi-sl.html) installed on a Raspberry Pi 3B. 2. I am using my smartphone hotspot to create a network. 3. I have CODESYS 3.5 SP21 (64 bit) installed on my Windows 11 laptop. 4. Both the Raspberry Pi and my laptop are connected to the smartphone hotspot network (I am wirelessly connecting to the Raspberry Pi). Connecting to the Raspberry Pi from CODESYS on my laptop: 1. I launch Codesys Installer -> I install Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi (link to the software). 2. I launch Codesys 3.5 SP21 (64 bit) on my laptop. 3. I go to file --> new project --> standard project --> in the pop-up I select "Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi" and "Structured Text" 4. I click on tools -> Deploy Control SL (on older versions of Codesys you would click on "update Raspberry Pi", I got that information from this video: link) 5. Inside Deploy Control SL --> I go to the "communication" menu and I input the IP address of my Pi, the password, and click on connect. 6. Inside Deploy Control SL --> I go to the "deployment" menu and I install Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi SL and Codesys Edge Gateway for Linux 7. Now I double click on "device" in the left hand tree and put in the IP address of my Raspberry Pi and click on connect --> success! I am able to connect! SEE SECOND PICTURE Powering the EK1100 and connecting it to the Raspberry Pi: 1. I am supplying the EK1100 with 24 V across the + and - pins. 2. I have jumper wires going from the + pin to the 24V pin and from the - pin to the 0V pin. SEE THIRD PICTURE 4. I am pretty confident that the EK1100 is receiving power because the "LED Us 24 V" and "LED Up 24 V" are lighting up. 5. I then run an ethernet cable from the EK1100 to the Raspberry Pi port (the Raspberry Pi is connected to my laptop wirelessly over WiFi). I think this connection should also be good since the LINK/ACT LED lights up. Trying to connect to the EK1100: 1. Back in Codesys I right-click on "Device" in the left tree and then in the pop up I click on "add device". 2. I then click on EtherCAT Master. 3. Next in a terminal window I SSH into the raspberry Pi and run the "ifconfig" command. 4. From there I get the MAC address for eth0 --> in my case: b8:27:eb:29:a9:25 5. Then, back in Codesys I double click on "EtherCAT Master" in the left hand tree. I then paste the MAC address into the "Source Address (MAC)" field. 6. I go to the Beckhoff official website and download the XML files for EtherCAT: https://www.beckhoff.com/en-en/products/i-o/ethercat-terminals/ek1xxx-bk1xx0-ethercat-coupler/ek1100.html? 7. I unzip those files in my computer into some folder that I can remember. 8. Back in Codesys I click on "Tools" --> "Device Repository" --> "Install" --> and then on the "Beckhoff EK11xx.XML" file. 9. In theory the necessary XML file is now installed. 10. THIS IS WHERE I RUN INTO THE PROBLEM: I then click on login --> I right click on EtherCAT_Master and then scan for devices --> and nothing. 11. It just doesn't detect it. On top of this whenever I login I get those orange triangles on the left on my tree. When I check the Log I get the messages at the very first screenshot of this post. SEE FOURTH PICTURE Solutions that I have tried to resolve this problem: 1. I thought it was maybe the .XML file so I installed all the .XML files from the EtherCAT folder that I downloaded. That didn't fix it. 2. I went on the Wayback Machine and got the .XML files from 2018 as I thought maybe an older version would work. This file of EtherCAT folders had a .XML file named "Beckhoff EKxxxx.XML" I thought this would work because that's the name of the file the guy in the Instructables used (https://www.instructables.com/Programming-Raspberry-Pi-With-CODESYS/). That didn't do anything. 3. I ran the PLC on my computer instead of the Raspberry Pi and tried to connect to the EK1100, in case the issue was with the Raspberry Pi, but I still ran into the same error from the picture above: "Attention! The device was not found in the repository. Vendorcode: 0x0. Productcode: 0x0. Revision: 0x0". SEE FIFTH PICTURE 4. I reinstalled Codesys, I was originally on version 3.5 SP20 when I did this, I upgraded to 3.5 SP21 with no success. 5. I then thought the solution might be to first add the EK1100 hardware before connecting so I did the following: 6. Right click on "EtherCAT Master" on the left hand tree --> then click on "add device" --> then I added the "EK1100 EtherCAT Coupler (2A E-Bus)" MY THEORY OF WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM: I asked ChatGPT for help and it said that it might have something to do with the revision number. On the physical EK1100 it says "Rev. Nr.: 0018". I believe that this means that I need to a revision 0018 XML file but if you look in Codesys it says the version is 16 (picture above). This is confusing because I got my .XML file from the official Codesys website so it should be the most up to date version possible. I searched and I searched and I couldn't find a version 18 .XML file, I don't even now if this exists. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated, I don't know what to do anymore and I really really want to get this working. Thank you!

Hi Trying to send csv file to c:\data\xxx.csv Im able to save to plclogic and after doing this https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/5cac1390b4/ i can now "file transfer" to host pc downloads. but still cant transfer to c:\ im sure i have done this in the past with older versions of the 3.5 ide? just concat the file name as c:\data\My_Filename.csv. any ideas? cheers

Hello I can't find anything to read on the subject so I'll ask here. Up to now, when adding a (for example) Modbus Master, I've selected the version <= the RT version, so if I'm using SP13 Patch 3, I can use a library that doesn't exceed this. I've no idea if this is correct, but it's always worked. Can someone explain the 4.x.x.x libraries that have appeared; are they tied to a RT version? The controller I use is now at SP18Patch60, so should I continue to use 3.5.xxx or change? thanks

Variable for Selected Alarm ID only updates when the visualization is actually configured to send the alarm’s ID back to the control. On some devices/visualization profiles this isn’t enabled by default. Make sure your Alarm Table element has “Send Selected Alarm ID” activated in the visualization properties. you could check this example: https://store.codesys.com/alarm-manager.html Geometry Dash Lite If that option isn’t available in your version, then unfortunately the “Selected Alarm Group” is the only one that updates reliably in older 3.5.x builds.

I'll be capturing a hex stream over serial into a RasPi and I'd like to convert a group of bytes into a float. I see this is available (https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/cdsoperatorrealto.html) but not its inverse (i.e. BYTE_TO_REAL). The packets will be 18 bytes but I'll be selecting 4 byte segments from the middle, swapping byte endianness (i.e. changing 0x51847641 to 0x41768451), and converting to float; I believe they adhere to IEEE 754. Is there a pre-built function for some or all of this, or do I need to follow (https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Engineering/thread/dc5829c7ea/)? Thanks!

Hello! I have asked the few I know who have knowledge of this and now turn to this one inexhaustible source of knowledge aka. the electronics forum. I was going to buy stepper motors yesterday but got so confused about the spec that I need to get an answer to this first. 2 different stepper motors, quite close in size but with very different spec. https://www.oyostepper.de/goods-40-Nema-17-Schrittmotor-Bipolar-12V-18-Grad-40Ncm-04A-12-Volt-4-Dr%C3%A4hte-Hybrid-Schrittmotor.html https://www.oyostepper.de/goods-38-Nema-17-Schrittmotor-Bipolar-18-deg-22Ncm-133A-28V-4-Dr%C3%A4hte-Hybrid-Schrittmotor.html Both Nema17 but the first 1.33A and 22Ncm and the second only 0.4A but almost double the torque. I can see that the resistance is very much higher on the latter but what's the catch? Double the torque to 1/3 the current sounds a little too good to be true so what am I missing?

Hallo, bisher war die Benutzung der Symbolkonfiguration für die OPC-UA Variablen recht easy einsetzbar. Im UAExpert Tool konnte man im Klarnamen den String sehen. var1 = client.get_node("ns=4;s=|var|WAGO 750-8212 PFC200 G2 2ETH RS.Application.PLC_PRG.fbTest.StateActual") Die Anbindung an die Python opcua Library hat so eigentlich gut funktioniert. Auch zum debuggen im UAExptert, konnte man den Value so sehen wie die Varibale heißt. In meinem Fall ein Enum. Was seit längerer Zeit nicht mehr funktionier ist das eingeben von Enums. Im UAExpert kommt die Fehlermeldung "BadTypeMismatch" früher war das nicht der Fall. Da die Symbolkonfiguration demnächst bei Codesys 3.5 rausfällt, wollte ich den Kommunikationsverwalter nutzen. Jetzt schaut der String mit der Node ID komplett anders aus. Bsp.: NS5|Opaque|0x01000000A6E12A718AF7333ABAFA2D7686EF27669CF33071C7D034759DE601779DF62178E9 Hier sieht man den Value gar nicht mehr im UA Expert. In Python finde ich auch keine Möglichkeit die OPC UA Variable einzulesen. This "FB_Init" error has become very annoying lately. It's usually related to webvisu and is resolved by deleting all objects and related libraries. Of course, you need to re-add the deleted objects. Lately, we've generally been managing by not upgrading, but this problem persists in every version since SP20 and should be resolved. I updated a project from SP 19 to SP 21 and found 116 similar errors. Hi, I was hoping I could send the two files "application.app" and "application.crc" directly to the directory "/home/codesys/PlcLogic/Application" instead of logging into the device with codesys, downloading the program to the controller and then do the "create boot application", so it will reboot with the correct program running. I think i also need to edit the file "eRUNTIME.cfg" located in the "/home/codesys/ folder, because when I create the boot application from the codesys IDE, these lines are added to the file: [CmpApp] Application.1 = Application [SysFileMap] /home/codesys/PlcLogic/Application/Application.app=0x212520, 0x2DBC747E, 2DBC747E.app I think the "eRUNTIME.cfg" file is the same as CODESYSControl.cfg I also dont know the purpose of the hexadecimal numbers etc. that is generated. When I tried to replicate what codesys was doing, I placed the same files in the same folder as when codesys generated the boot file. And also added the lines in the eRUNTIME.cfg file: [CmpApp] Application.1 = Application [SysFileMap] /home/codesys/PlcLogic/Application/Application.app The controller did not boot up with any program, so my method did not work at all. I guess these lines tells the controller to run an application and where to find it? Could any of you help me with the best way to get the compiled program to the controller without using codesys or wago-software?

Hello I am using an OpusA3 with version 3.5 SP17 Patch 3 as part of a project. I had no real problem before I encountered a problem that blocked me. The detection of the OpusA3 from Codesys is done correctly. The gateway is well configured and if I ping the gateway or the OpusA3 I receive the response correctly. The problem is that when I try to connect, the Opus screen freezes and a few moments later Codesys displays an error message ("connection to device closed"). I tried to change PC, to update the runtime, to change OpusA3 but the problem remains the same. I'm a little lost knowing that before it worked without problem. I went back to a previous version of the project (where it worked correctly) but the message still appears. Do you have any clues to solve the problem? Sincerely,

Hallo Forum das ist mein erster Post bei euch also bitte seit nachsichtig :) ich habe mir den: USB zu CAN Konverter Kable for Raspberry Pi4/Pi3B+/Pi3/Pi Zero(W)/Jetson Nano/Tinker Board and Any Single Board Computer Support Windows Linux and Mac OS (USB2CAN-C) Gekauft da er in Linux arbeiten soll dachte ich man kann den so in codesys einbinden da es auf einen Rasperry Pi lauft. Erkannt wird der Adapter als Bus 001 Device 004: ID 1d50:606f OpenMoko, Inc. Geschwister Schneider CAN adapter Wie bekomme ich den in Codesys mit einen Rasperry pi eingebunden. (Im Internet habe ich nichts gefunden.) ich bedanke mich. euer Martin
