Guten Tag, zuersteinmal vielen Dank fürs Lesen! Ich habe das Problem nun lösen können, indem ich %appdata%\CODESYS\UserOptions-EEEF5821 gelöscht habe. Dort gab es diverse Dateien names "CODESYS (CODESYS V3.5 SP17).opt.*". Nun funktioniert das Menü wieder so, wie es soll. Was ich mir sonst zerschossen habe, werde ich herausfinden. Aber ich denke, außer ein paar Einstellungen kann nicht viel passiert sein. Da ich das Gerät aber sowieso erst neu bekommen habe, ist hier noch nicht viel passiert. Hi, jain. wir haben mit IFM gesprochen. Sie sagen es liegt an Codesys selbst. Die Daten seien anscheinend nicht konsistent wenn das Projekt zu und erneut geöffnet wird, sei ein probkem von SP11. IFM wird im Sommer ein neues Package rausgeben wo sie auf eine neue CS Version wechseln, dort soll das Problem dann behoben sein. Wir haben zwar einen Workaround rausgefunden aber jenachdem was du in der Safety treibst geht dieser dann nicht mehr. schreib mir zur not eine PN wenn du mehr wissen willst.

okay, no ideas. So i made a new fresh image for the raspberry, so far,so good. Licensing the new image was no problem. And, after having trouble while read write files on the raspberry pi, i found the solution for these file operations with the Variable ForceIecFilePath in the CODESYSControl.cfg file. Hello everyone, I encountered a problem in the simulation while working. In a test project we set up a Modbus connection. We wanted to simulate this with test values. The connection also worked, but unfortunately the values are frozen and do not report any “current data”. (Picture attached) Since these are my first points of contact with Codesys and my colleague continues to work elsewhere, I was hoping that someone here might have an idea. Hello, this error occured frequently over the past couple of weeks. I found out, when adding a webvisu, CODESYS added Visu libraries in the library manager. One of the libraries was the "VisuElemsAlarm" library. In my case it added this one with the version 4.3.0.0. However another library that also contained the "VisuElemsAlarm", used the "VisuElemsAlarm" with the version "4.4.0.0". After changing the Version "4.4.0.0" and uninstalling this version, the error has not occured anymore. Regards, carohe

Okey, thank you! Do you think it is something in this library, that makes it possible to do the configuration in a PRG? https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/IODrvEtherCATDriver/Current/IoDrvEtherCAT.html#id1 I think the codesys modbus libraries support configuration and connection to modbus slaves without having to add the slave devices in the device tree. Just do it from function blocks inside the program. I was hoping for something similar with EtherCAT.

Man, this was a long time ago. I think the problem probably stemmed from not loading the certificates from the client and the server on the server and client respectively in the correct manner. I believe I ended up getting around it just by removing all security on the server. In the end we did not move forward with that architecture so I never had to actually fix it.

Hello @rmaas I assume, you've already verified and tuned everything regarding the EtherCAT network. In my case the problem was due to a wrong core assignement. I suggest to not use the core #0 for your EtherCAT task. The OS realtime patch, which is present on RevPi OS, uses the core #0 for its porpouses and it mustn't be used by any other task which requires realtime and deterministic features. regards Rossano

thank you for pointing me to this "bug"!! I haven't recognized, the bit is reset after the first alarm is gone. I use this only for warnings, so it's not a drama, but was not correct in the past. I solved it now simply stupid by counting up a variable every time an alarm appears and decreasing it if an alarm is gone. The "warning lamp" is activated by checking the counter is > 0 The nice side effect, i'm able to show the number of active alarms in the state line now.

Hello I'm using Codesys V3.5 SP19 Patch 6 and a Raspberry PI 5 4GB Bookworm 32bit with the Runtime 4.11.0.0 SL. I can install the runtime and download the software completly but after a few seconds the connection disconnects with the message no connection to device. Please scan network again. And the object reference was not set to an object instance. See screenshot. Can somebody help me with that? Thanks

I think I need to read up on why this happened. I understand that placeholders should point to a particular version for obvious reasons however what has occurred in this instance is different. The example project was released as a "project archive" but it seems to load differently based on what I've got installed in my repositories. I'm going to dig into that tomorrow but any advice is welcome.

Hello New W11 machine. I've tried installing and the 'Codesys installer' appeared, which basically failed. This was the exe from the Store. I've now tried installing with an old copy of SP17, which didn't try and use the Codesys installer, but has hung at the 'Install all packages added to the setup' stage. Has the exe been updated to use the Codesys installer? What is the installer? Do we think it'll work on w11? thanks, Paul

Hallo, du solltest dir angewöhnen Präfixe für die Datentypen zu nutzen. Dann ist das auch lesbarer. Aus value wird rValue für ein REAL oder wValue für ein WORD. Daher ist jetzt nicht ersichtlich mit welchen Datentypen du dort arbeitest und was die Bausteine an den EIN- und Ausgängen erwarten. Du kannst aber explizit eine Typkonvertierung durchführen indem du am Ausgang noch einen Baustein "TO_WORD" setzt.

My MC_Phasing FB was stuck in iPhasingState=1 and error output HIGH on one axis. I could manually overwrite the state to 0 in the instance data. During normal run I see the state change from 0 to 10 to 100 back to 0 (maybe more states that I couldnt catch with the naked eye) But - what are the states numbers and their different explenations? This is not explained in the FB guide on codesys. (the pictures show state = 0 after I reset)

Hallo zusammen, vorweg: ich habe sehr sehr wenig Ahnung von Codesys, industrieller Kommunikation etc ... Ich soll für ein Seminar mithilfe der Library SysSocket eine HTTP Verbindung zwischen PC und und der Wago PFC200 herstellen, die wir hier im Labor haben. Ich habe mir unterschiedliche Examples von Codesys angeschaut, ChatGPT gepromptet etc. aber komme nicht in die Nähe von irgendwas, das funktioniert. Kann mir jemand ganz einsteigerfreundlich erklären, welche Bausteine ich benötige und was mit diesen getan werden müsste, um das ganze zum laufen zu bekommen? Wäre auf ewig dankbar ... I'm building up a 2nd PC to match an existing developer PC. Installed the same SP and Patch levels but when I open a project that was created on the existing PC, Codesys complains that it's not the same version. Attaching a screenshot..... What else is there to match? Also, can all of the libraries that are on the existing machine be copied from it to the new machine and if so, how? (So I get the same versions) Which files/folders do I copy? Thanks! -Farren

Hello, Recently I was trying to run 6DOF robot in codesys via SMC_Trafo_ArticulatedRobot_6DOF, unfortunately no matter what parameters I tried, it always outputs InvalidConfig Error. I saw the same issue in a topic: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Motion/thread/16e1f0327f/ But if I understand correctly, the user solved it by developing his own version of this block. I wanted to know if it is a bug in the library (SM3_CNC 4.20.0.0) or am I doing something wrong? Can anyone confirm that they can use the FB without it reporing the Error? Kind regards,

Guten Tag, irgendwas ist hier im Argen, die Status werden nicht richtig angezeigt. Im Bild im Anhang wird die Variable in Zeile 16 CollectiveAlarm auf false gesetzt, es wird aber true angezeigt. In Zeile 17 frage ich testweise den Status nochmals ab, der ist auch false, obwohl die Variable CollectiveAlarm noch immer true anzeigt. Was kann hier die Ursache sein? Gibt es einen Beobachtungszeitpunkt, wann die Werte abgefragt werden?

Hello all, First post. I recently acquired an RPI zero W from amazon, and have been using it with Codesys v3.5 SP19 patch 2. I first got it working yesterday, and after installing the runtime on the Pi, I was prompted to install the edge gateway. Installation of the edge gateway failed because of unsupported architecture, undeterred I was able to connect to the pi and program as I wanted. The issue I've noticed is that if I do not load anything to the pi overnight, I can then no longer connect to the pi and download, although I can still ping it from my pc. I found that if I power cycle the PI, I am then able to connect again, and it works as normal. I did some googling and found instances where people recommended downloading the newest edge gateway, which brings me here. Wondering if there are any suggestions, or if this is a known issue. I actually tried installing all 3 versions of edge gateway for science, but all fail with the same message. Thanks -Dan

Hallo zusammen, ich habe eine Frage bezüglich dem Verhalten der Tasks. In der Hilfe und hier im Forum sowei im Internet konnte ich diesbezüglich leider nichts finden. Wie genau verhält sich Codesys wenn mehrere zyklische Task eingestellt sind und bei einem ab und zu die Abarbeitung des angehängten Programmes länger dauert als das Aufrufintervall eingestellt ist. D.H. der nächste Aufruf würde "theoretisch" erfolgen bevor alles im Program abgearbeitet ist. Z.B. Intervall ist 1ms, Abarbeitung dauert manchmel 1,1ms oder länger. (Watchdog ist zwar eingeschaltet, aber größer gewählt als das Zyklische Intervall zum Aufruf. Watchdog soll jetzt auch nicht das Thema sein). Was passiert in so einem Fall? - Wird das Programm zuerst zu Ende abgearbeitet und dann der nächste Aufruf gestartet? - Wird das Programm "mittendrin" unterbrochen und dann neu gestartet? - wie genau muss ich mir das vorstellen wenn dem so ist? - ...... - ...... Ich konnte überall nur Anleitungen finden wie die Tasks zu konfigurieren sind, jedoch nichts dazu was im oben genannten Fall genau passieren wird. Gruss Markus

Hello, I was trying to create a redundancy POC for our application where we read data from few modbus tcp devices. As there is a limitaion that modbus tcp device support only for single master device, we wanted to test how the variable sync happens in redundancy mode. For that i have used the redundancy sample code added a variable "b" under a condition. What i observed was while active controller is running, if passive controller is powerup, passive controller is able to sync all the data configured for redundacny. But after that the variable data which resided under a condition is not synching from active to passive controller. I have attached the image where i have highlighter the variable. Can some help me to understand how redundacny work in codesys soft plc and if there is a solution to sync variable which are under condition, please explain the same or suggestion to achieve the same. Hardware - Raspberry Pi (2 qty) Redundancy licence used - yes in both controllers. Codesys runtime - 4.9.0.0 Codesys software version - V3.5 SP19 if i have posted this question in wrong section, please do let me know in whcih section i have to post this question.

Hallo Zusammen, gibt es in CODESYS bei Ablaufsteuerungen weitere Möglichkeiten außer den AS-Einstellungen z.B. die Aufbaustruktur der Ablaufsteuerung herauszufinden? Gesamtanzahl der verwendeten Aktionen / Schritte - Im besten Fall auch die einzelnen Verzweigungen? Ich würde den gesamten Aufbau der Schrittkette gerne als "View" in einer übergeordneten Software abbilden lassen, da sich die Ablaufsteuerungen, je nach Projekt im Aufbau unterscheiden bräuchte ich die Kenntniss über den Aufbau dieser Schrittketten. Oder müsste ich mir hier einen "Workaround" programmieren, der z.B. bei Init erstmal den Aufbau der Ablaufsteuerung durchläuft und mir die nötigen Informationen liefert? Natürlich wäre auch ein Weg den Aufbau des AS-Bausteins über die PLCopen XML zu exportieren, jedoch müsste dies bei Änderungen jeweils nachgezogen werden - was etwas unschön wäre, falls dies vergessen würde. Mittlerweile habe ich auch das Tool "SFC Visu Generator" gefunden, dessen Funktion im Prinzip genau das darstellt, was ich benötige - jedoch leider nur als CODESYS interne Visualisierung. Ich würde den Export des Bausteins gerne in meine übergeordnete Software implementieren. Gibt es hier die Möglichkeit das Vorgehen zu Erfahren oder den vom Baustein generierten Export bei mir zu implementieren? Hat hier jemand sowas ähnliches schonmal gelöst? hi there , can someone tell me how to deal with this error , please? I use the Linux ARM64SL (4.11) on a bullseye distro and when I want to update or install some package, I have the following reply : pi@NanoPi-R5C:~$ sudo apt upgrade Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done Reading state information... Done You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these. The following packages have unmet dependencies: ** codesyscontrol : Depends: codemeter but it is not installable or codemeter-lite but it is not installable** E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution). and if I try apt --fix-broken install as suggested, I have a proposal to uninstall codesyscontrol ... :-D so I tried to search if there is some Codesys repo: nothing, then I tried to see if ther was something inside Codesys dev (V3.5.20) and I only found that by reading/requesting my device, i spoted that codemeter was too old . I don't see how to deal with this issue. is there a codemeter.deb somewhere ? thanks in advance for any help.
