Post by starmaxou on How to download dependencies packages for CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi SL ? CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi everyone, I'm trying to install the CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi SL package. The computer with CODESYS software is offline for security reasons. So, I downloaded the package on another computer and installed it manually. But this package has dependencies packages: CODESYS.Control SL Extension Package, V4.0.0.0 CODESYS.Control SL Deploy Tool, V4.10.0.0 As I said, the computer with CODESYS is offline. I cannot use the package installer to search for these packages. I did not find them in Codesys Store with another computer. Do you know where to find and download them? Thank you in advance for your help!

Post by timothyzalusky on Strange Behavior on Raspberry Pi CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I am seeing some weird runtime behavior related to the EQ function on a rapsberry pi based system. I have attached a screenshot showing the strange latching I am seeing on the EQ function, and I have not seen this behavior before. I tried freshly restarting the runtime and it has this same behavior. Anyone seen this? I am on 3.5.20 with the latest runtime installed. Basically, as soon as it hits one of those EQ's in the program, it latches effectively locking the output on. Any input from the Codesys team would be appreciated as well as anyone that might know what I am seeing.

Post by etalp on Eaton XC303 firmware update via USB CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi, I'm struggling with updating my xc303 to firmware 3.5.17. It is possible only via USB port. I've installed proper update files on the USB then plug it into the PLC's USB port and restarted the device. Shortly after LED's on the PLC started to blink, so updating process has started. But after 10 minutes the PLC LED turned off and after all I could't serach for this PLC in Codesys, but could ping it. Could someone eplain to me proper procedure of updating the fimrware in XC303 via USB? Is it neccesary to STOP the PLC switch after pluging the USB?

Post by s1mon on Two OneWireMaster on one Raspberry PI 5 CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
I don't know why the EtherCat fails, but what happens is: First I have only one 1WireMaster running on my Raspberry Pi and EtherCat is running fine. Then I'd like to add a 2nd 1WireMaster. Therefore I enable a 2nd GPIO Pin on the raspberry in the file "/boot/firmware/config.txt". dtoverlay=w1-gpio,gpiopin=4,pullup=0 dtoverlay=w1-gpio,gpiopin=23,pullup=0 To be able to use this 2nd 1WireMaster in Codesys Runtime I Adjust the CODESYScontrol.cfg file and add there: PlaceholderFilePath.2=/sys/devices/w1_bus_master2, $OneWire2$ After a reboot the EtherCat Master is not working any more. I didn't even add a 2nd OneWire Master in Codesys, but still if I do the EtherCat does not work. Do you have an idea why?

Post by alimans on Unrecoverable SoftMotion state after switch to PreOp CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
For anyone still experiencing this issue, here’s how I managed to solve it: Symptoms: 1. Sometimes, on the first start of CODESYS Runtime, the modules fail to run. 2. After disconnecting and reconnecting the communication cable, the drive does not start again. 3. MC_Reset cannot clear the fault. Solution (what worked for me): 1. Check the axis communication using the SMC_CheckAxisCommunication function block (FB). 2. If CheckAxisCommunication.eComState of the axis is equal to or higher than SMC_CommunicationState.SMC_COMSTATE_BASE_COM_INITIALIZATION, then 3. Use the SMC3_ReinitDrive function block to reset the drive — and it works. For more information, refer to the official CODESYS documentation: 👉 https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/SM3_Basic/Current/SM3_Basic/DriveInterface/AXIS_REF/SMC3_ReinitDrive.html

Post by malte on OPC UA multiple Endpoints CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
My CODESYS OPC UA server provides endpoints using both the hostname and the IP address. Connecting via the IP address works fine, but connecting via the hostname does not. The endpoint list shows both opc.tcp://<hostname>:4840 and opc.tcp://<ip>:4840. When using the hostname, the OPC UA client (UA Expert) fails to connect. Using the IP address connects without issues. Main goal is to conect via Python but opcua-asyncio seems to prefer the hostname. How can I configure CODESYS or my system so that the OPC UA connection via hostname also works properly or disable it completly? Running Codesys for PFC200 sl 4.18.0.0

Good night. I am having a problem with CODESYS 3.5.11.40, which gives the exception EXCEPTION [ProcessorLoadWatchdog]. Hi all! I'm trying to learn PLC Programing. Today I was making a simple PLC program, as you can see. When I compile the program without the visualization, there are no errors. However, when I add the visualization and then compile it, I get this error. I don’t know how to solve the problem. I have tried the following solutions: rebooting the PC and updating the software. Error Code: C0138: No matching 'FB_Init' method found for instantiation of VisuClientObjectMgr Compile complete -- 1 errors, 0 warnings Build complete -- 1 errors, 0 warnings : No download possible Version: CODESYS V3.5 SP21 Patch 3

Post by gseidel on Can't get SMC_SmoothPath to work CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi bertus, I cannot see any problem in the code you posted. Just some ideas: What is the value of D_ANGLE_TOL? - Do you need the assignment bAbort := NOT bDecoder? Does it help to leave it out? Any errors (e.g. SMC_SmoothPath.Error/ErrorID) or PLC log messages? What if you comment out SMC_SmoothMerge and SMC_LimtiDynamics, is corner smoothing still not working? Is bDecode written from a different task (e.g. visu)? Then I would recommend to assign to a local variable (bDecodeLocal := bDecode) and use that for all FBs. Otherwise, FBs might see different values of bDecode in a single cycle, which will cause problems. Regards, Georg

Post by mait-tim on Drive communication errors CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
With a machine I'm working with i get a communication error when I'm updating some softstop limits. As soon as I update the code the drives do not want to operate. Using the MC_readStatus I'm receiving errors as soon as i want to start a movement. Using MC_ReadAxisError i see that i receive error 131, no response. With a SMC3_ETC_ReadParameter_CoE i do not recieve any driver errors. Does anyone know how i can figure out what the error is and how to solve it. When i go back to the old software no errors occur. Im working with a legacy machine running a Beijer PLC with some Mitsubishi drives. running on Codesys 3.5 SP10. the runtime version is probably 3.5.3. The drives are all Ethercat Drives (CoE). All using the SM3_drive_ETC libary and the SM3_basic library.

Post by timvh on Codesys complains about matching versions CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Open the CODESYS Installer. Create an export file from your current PC from your current version. Then on the other PC Open the installer and install a new version based on the same essentials version, but additionally select the export file which you have created on the first PC. Or just install (import) it within the already existing version. For the installer, you can install it from: https://store.codesys.com/en/codesys-installer.html For help see: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Installer/_inst_install_setups_and_addons.html On PC 1, save the project as projectarchive (which will then include all the libraries and devices). Then extract this projectarchive on PC 2.

I'm able to see the device is available during a scan, and I can ping the device as well, but when I try to connect I get the message "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it". I've worked on this for hours including turning off the firewall on the device PC but nothing seems to work. The device is running a fresh install of Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 and the Development System is 3.5.21.50 running on Windows 11. Thank you in advance for any ideas!

List all locally connected CmContainers: - CmContainer with Serial Number 130-XXXXXXXX and version 3.00 (empty) - CmContainer with Serial Number 130-XXXXXXXX and version 3.00 (locked) Result: 2 CmContainer(s) listed. The licence has been activated with a computer Name, but the guy who did it make a mistake in the name, so he changed it after to have activate the licence. I think this has created a second container. The licence is actived on the other container.

Post by konstantin on CAM Motion Recover after STO CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, one of the projects I work on is about a racetrack collator with two independent belts on it - two different servo motors. Both motors share the same mechanical frame and there is a train on a belt that collects items from the input conveyor. The way the motion is performed is the following - there is a virutal master axis and both real axis are synchronised with different cam motion profiles. The problem is when an STO is triggered on any of the slave axis, the synchronization process starts from position 0 of the slaves. How can I force the slaves to retain their current position until the master passes their position? Then the slaves should catch up with the master according to the profile, the slaves should not start synchronization from 0 position. Best Regards Konstantin Kolev

Post by gseidel on CAM Motion Recover after STO CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Dear Mr. Kolev, I'm not sure I understood correctly. But this is my take on your question: When the STO of the slave is triggered, store the current master position (e.g. 225 units) After the reset of the slave error, call MC_SetPosition on the virtual master and reset it to the stored position (225 units) Optionally, before MC_CamIn is restartet, move the slave back to the slave position corresponding to the stored master position. (If you do this, no ramping in will be necessary) Restart MC_CamIn, with absolute master position and absolute slave position. Choose the StartMode that is appropriate for your machine. Post by hannibal on Codesys Trend - setting Y axis minimum and maximum as variables - error CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
I am experiencing an issue when trying to define the Y-axis limits in a Trend Graphic using variables. When I set the Minimum and Maximum values as variables, an error is triggered. My goal is to make the Y-axis limits dynamic so they can adjust according to the installation. Both variables are initialized as follows: gP_YMin = -100.0 gP_YMax = 100.0 However, I still get the following error: "The minimum axis value must be less than the maximum axis value" Does anyone have an idea why this is happening or how to resolve it?

Post by poliautomacao on Absolute movement controlled by an external encoder. CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I made this configuration, I'm moving the encoder value to SM_Driver_PosControl.in.wActPosition. When I make the absolute movement of my PosControl axis, my physical drive axis rotates perfectly, but I noticed that the movement is not followed by the encoder. That is, if I hold the encoder and keep it in position 0, the PosControl axis makes the absolute movement of 314 mm and stops, which is strange because the encoder is at 0. Theoretically, the PosControl axis should accelerate to try to compensate for the movement error. I haven't yet achieved perfect functionality.

My codesys is 3.5.21.30. I am using function ModbusServer from library ModbusTCP_Slave. The reason is that I need share 9000 Holding registers. By standard configuration it is only 4096. fbMbTcpDevice: ModbusTCP_Slave.ModbusServer; fbMbTcpDevice( wPort := 502, pInputData := ADR(awInputReg), pOutputData := ADR(awHoldingReg), uiInputDataSize := 10, uiOutputDataSize := 9000, xEnable := TRUE, tTimeout := 10000, InterfaceName := "eth0", xBusy => xBusy, xError => xError, byClientConnections => byConnections ); Ethernet port is cofigured: Network interface: eth0 IP address: 10.10.22.55 Subnet maskL 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 0.0.0.0 And it only works when I am reading registers with ID 255 by Modbus Poll. Any other IDs don't work. The actual TCP client device try to read registers with ID 1 and I can't change it... Thanks in advance for your help!

Post by cvrettacos-dse on How to reset scroll of a table element CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I would like to use swipe/pan gestures to scroll a table visualization element (CODESYS 3.5.21.10) ona DSE M810 display. The swipe / pan gesture control works fine, however, I cannot figure out how to reset / navigate to the top of the table again with code. I have tried the Scrolling begin variable, and the visu manager is setting it to FALSE right away but the table doesn't actually scroll back to top. If I check the “Scroll elements with scrollbar” box, then the Scrolling begin variable works perfectly, but now the swipe/pan scrolling no longer works and you have to use the scrollbar. Any assitence you can provide is appreciated. Thanks.

looks like you are running in a bug in the newest version 4.4.0 of the profinet library or the new library triggers a bug in your code. did you update your profinet device too? you could try to downgrade to an older version of the library. via library manager - placeholders, double click Profinet 4.4.0 in the library column and choose an older version.
