Hey! I am trying to generate a function block with properties from a list with script engine. Codesys/ScriptEngine creates both the Get and the Set accessor. I cannot find a way to delete the Set method/accessor. we use successful for many years the KEB MFI terminal for Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP,... You'll need a EtherCAT Coupler as "head" from KEB, Kendrion or Berghof. It's all the same board inside: https://www.kebamerica.com/products/ethercat-bus-coupler/ Or the coupler with 16Di/Do integrated: https://www.kebamerica.com/products/ethercat-digital-io-module/ last year I got a EK1100 with EL6731 Profibus treminal runnig. But it was a lot of reverse engineering and thinkering in Codesys and TwinCAT to be done, to get it up, fulfilling my needs. Good luck!

The goal is to control a Siemens G120X VFD via Ethernet/IP. The .eds is installed into the device repository. The VFD is added and is using the connection and assemblies from the eds. It appears to reach the VFD but fails to establish a connection. The status message is: Diag String: 'Adapter configured. Open all connections.' The PLC is a raspberry pi 4, running codesys target version 4.13.0.0. The development environment is CODESYS V3.5 SP21 + (64-bit). Anyone have experience with this combination? Alternately, where should I look next? Thank you, Mark

I noticed something strange in the trace: one of the variables (specifically parts.servoFeeder.m_pathGen.m_acPos) is showing an absurd or unrealistic value—something around 4E+18. However, when I check the same variable in the watch window, it shows a normal and expected value (around 506). Do you know why there is this discrepancy between the trace and the watch? Could it be a bug in the trace tool? Thanks in advance!

hello guys i am struggling with the "new" user management i have a visu that should be visible to everyone and without the need of a login but if a user wants he can push on the login button, opening the user login visu and after he has specific elements visible. how can i achieve that? no matter what i try, as soon as a user management exists, it redirects me to the login window instead of the visu

Hi! I am using abb ac500 in automation builder v2.7 I have a problem with a new project. In the normal mode I have no problems, but in safety mode i cannot go online. I get 'Communication Error (#0) Logout Performed' message. I have tried changing the adress (level 1) in communication parameters. I tried 0.0.0.0.0 and 0.1.0.0.0 and 1.1.0.0.0 but it did no difference. What do you think could be causing this? Thanks!

I would recommend to ask Moxa for a newer version of Debian. Debian 9 ("Stretch") has reached its end of life and is no longer receiving security updates from the official Debian Security Team as of June 30, 2022. This means any systems still running Debian 9 are vulnerable to security risks and should be upgraded to a newer, supported version of Debian like Debian 10 ("Buster") or Debian 11 ("Bullseye").

Hi, Has anyone managed to use the last four buttons in a POU toolbar in LD2? You can close and open by clicking from one small rectangle to another (same for deleting a closure //). Linking K to D causes a series connection with all the branches // above. Amazing! I don't really see the advantages of this supposedly modern and efficient language over the old LD/FBD. Can anyone explain?

I have come across this. The only way i could get it to work would be to define a word that is also the same address as the Bools. eg %MX600.0 through to %MX600.15 would be individually defined in the variables and them have another variable word defined at %MW300. You still need to break out the word in what ever program you are using to read/write the OPCUA tags.

Hello, I got a device from which I require to read values from I am using a WAGO PLC 750-8212 and I am communicating through Modbus Master FUNCTION BLOCK from library WagoAppPLCModbus in Codesys 3.5 to this device. I already receive data from the device that is a CVM to monitor voltage from a fuel cell. The technical support of the company that makes these devices says that the data is sent in little endian form. And I want to convert it to a float value. The tech support sent me the next instructions of how to do it but I am new using codesys, so any advice or help I will really appreciate so much. Message from tech support: The process is complicated, better to do it with already implemented library in the language/program you use. Basically the process should be next: To convert the two Modbus registers containing parts of a 32-bit float in little-endian byte order to a floating-point number using mathematical operations, you first need to combine the two 16-bit integers (assuming reg1 is the lower word and reg2 is the higher word) and then interpret the result according to the IEEE 754 standard. Given: - Register 192 (reg1) = 4096 - Register 193 (reg2) = 14884 Step 1: Combine the two registers. Since we are dealing with little-endian byte order, reg2 is the high word, and reg1 is the low word: combined = reg2 * 2^16 + reg1 combined = 14884 * 65536 + 4096 combined = 975175680 + 4096 combined = 975179776 Step 2: Convert the combined value to binary: combined_binary = '1110101101011100000000000000000' Step 3: Split the binary into IEEE 754 components: Sign bit (1 bit): 0 Exponent (8 bits): 11101011 Mantissa (23 bits): 01011100000000000000000 Step 4: Convert the binary exponent to decimal and subtract the bias (127 for 32-bit floats): exponent = int('11101011', 2) - 127 exponent = 235 - 127 exponent = 108 Step 5: Calculate the mantissa as a fraction: The mantissa in IEEE 754 format is the fractional part after the leading 1 (which is implicit). I found a way to do it: You can use, for example, the text variable property of any visualization element and call a function in it. Example: Write a test POU as a function (FUN), like MyTestFun which need a boolean Variable as an input value. Now write into the text variable property: MyTestFun(bBooleanValue) Thats it. The function is called at each visu_task cycle.

On the 750-362 i have a 4DO, 8DI and a RS485 interface card. the 4DO and 8DI cards a working fine but im strugling with the rs485 card. Does someone have a example for this?

I have the same problem in that I can connect to the eWon and ping the controller IP Address, however I cant connect through CodeSys. I'm using Gateway-1 which is configured to use "IP-Address: localhost" and "Port: 1217". Rather than scanning the network for devices, I enter the IP Address of the device, codesys returns a "No Device is repsonding..." message. See attached. I'm wondering if the IP-Address used Gateway-1 should be "localhost" or the WAN/LAN IP of the eWon? Thanks for the help MC

Hi All, I'm using codesys on a raspberry PI. I use V3.5 SP18 Patch 2 development system and codesys for raspberry pi 4.8.0.0. Sometimes when I build the project I get error messages C0007: Expression expected instead of ',' and C0032: Cannot convert type 'Unknow type: '!!!'ERROR'!!!" to type 'POINTER TO IoConfigParameter'. I can't click on the message to bring me to the fault. After I do a "Clean all" the build finishes successful. Anyone who can help me with this problem? Thanks! Remco Borghuis

Hello Matteo, I think the problem is about configuration of firewall (windows firewall usually). You can disable temporary the firewall to check if the communication works. Eventually you can: Go to the control panel -> Windows Defender Firewall -> Allow an app or feature Enable the options to change the settings. Scroll down in the application list to CODESYS and CODESYS ControlService. If you don’t see this application add it to the list. Make sure that all the checkboxes are checked (Domain, Private and public).

I've had issues getting the raspistepper installed, all due to errors upon installation. The closest I get is the pictured error. The functions are in the sm3_shared library. I can add this library but that leaves 2 issues. I don't actually know, and I really want to understand this, why the required dependencies haven't been installed correctly. If I add the library it's only available with through the namespace. What can I do to both understand and resolve this? The generic sensor FB is for controlling the sensor via its cyclic input (PDI) and output (PDO). In this case, ifm raw cyclic input and output data are WORDs (16 bits total) The PDO data from the Buerkert unit are SINT (8 bits) In this case, I would use the unpackword fb from the CAA memory library to unpack the valve feed back value into the appropriate location.

Hello Everyone. I have a question about the SVN module on Codesys. I am using Codesys V3.5.10 and installed Codesys SVN 4.2.5.1 but when i try to connect my SVN to codesys i have a message saying that there is no license for accessing the Url. I searched on the codesys store and it seems that "CODESYS Professional Developer Edition" is needed? Am i right? Do i also need to buy a USB key? Is there another edition but only for the SVN? Don't set on SVN. The service phase has started in March 2024 and will be discontinued in 2027. We actually use SVN and have to switch to GIT in the future. As I informed, there is no way of getting a single SVN or GIT licence. I' dont understand, why Codesys forces us customers to pay for an expensive Professional Edition paket from year to year using only one part of it! If you find a way to buy a single licence, let me know.

Hello everybody I have two of these EtherCat CiA402 stepper driver from Leadshine: https://www.leadshine.com/product-detail/EM3E-556E.html I want to controll them. I already have implemented them in Codesys with Softmotion. I see the position, the velocity and the status word so I can read everything. See picture 1. But when I want to write something like MC_Power or MC_MoveAbsolut with the SM3_Basic library it wont work and with the MC_Reset POU it shows: "SMC_R_DRIVE_DOESNT_ANSWER". See picture 2. Hello, This is an old topic but it might help. This can/should be solved by either of the solution below 1. disabling the "Support client animations and overlay of native elements" option in the visualization Manager (which is handy) 2. disabling the "Hardware acceleration" of the browser. Saw it happening on some clients/PC and on other it works fine with the same webvisu... (Version 3.5.19.20 with visu package 4.4.0.0) Hopefully it will be fixed it in a next release. I haven't tested the 4.5.0.0 visu packages yet. RP,
