Hello together I'm currently investing in possibilities to have a central engineering software / system for Codesys based controllers. Something like a DCS / SCADA depending on where you see the functionality. We plan to use more or less vanilla codesys. The tool should support the following: - Connect to multiple PLC's in a project to see its variables and debug it. - Central Engineering capabilities (for example shared libraries in a project). - Download the new code / binaries to the plc. - Maybe have functionality to combine visualization elements and logic together. - See the live status variables on all the systems (crosscommunication). I see that codesys theoretically supports engineering of multiple PLC's, but I couldnt find to much functionality for a DCS type of operation, but that could be lack of knowledge. Any tips from you? Is Codesys good enough for this and maybe there are some manufacturers which build around it? Or are there good tools on the market with Codesys support (and the engineering is separate, but download to codesys possible). The use case is distributed energy installations like Heating pumps, Photovoltaics, etc. All these installations should have a PLC with codesys installed and run in one larger network, the PLC's are connected via VPN. If I remember well, first you need to delete the current version. Then clicking through the tree as indicated in the previous post, lets you choose the "outdated" libraries.

Try setting up your project environment. You can do this under Project -> Project Environment -> Press Button "Set all to newest". You have set your compiler, devices, etc in this project to the newest available versions.

No, you can´t. I have only tried different browsers on my PC and then on my HMI device. Unfortunately the device´s browsers did not support pdf file as I needed so I had to switch to *.txt.

Are you using the Wago Runtime - please check the version information on scan. Either 6.x.x.x or CODESYS 4.x x.x SL Runtime- and always check the plclogger in such cases.

Not sure what you mean but you can define a visu initialization program and call it once at the visu initialization step. Look in the Visualization Manager there is a possibility to define such a program.

you need to switch to a realtime capable plc. Do not map variables, this will be done by the SoftMotion. And check the Ds402 parameters in the generic parameterview on the Softmotion Connector.

The green icon with an ! next to the device is concerning. Is the data type correct for the input, you are using a byte input but the description says string. Is there anything useful in the status tab?

Hello You'll need to write a proper sequence to send, then wait for confirmation, and then move on to the next step. Use the CASE statement in ST. It's perfect for creating a sequence.
