Hello, we are porting a CNC project from codesys 3.5.16 to codesys 3.5.19. The project has lots of CNC programs with variables. now we get hundreds of messages like this. [WARNING] CNC Test SP19: TestCNC SPS: PLC Logic: Application: C0564: A reference to uninitialized variable varCNC is used for initialization of TestCNC_D. Accessing the uninitialized variable may result in unexpected behavior. The objects program_name_D are implicit generated by codesys. I see no way to generated them after the variables. Is there a way to correct the initialization order? We know how to suppress this warning. But we need a clean solution as the warning already saved us in a other nonCNC project. Attached a small demo of the problem.

Dear @alimans, Additionally, As far as I know since starting from Softmotion V4.18.0.0 automatic restart behaviour for an axis has been changed for this issue. See below explanation from release notes. "With CODESYS SoftMotion 4.18.0.0, the behavior of SoftMotion axes after a loss of communication to the servo drive has changed. Now, an automatic reinitialization is performed as soon as the communication is established again. Before, an explicit call to SMC3_ReinitDrive had to be performed. Hi! I tried setting up the PLC I'm working with (Beijer GN-9373) to connect to a modbus master running on a laptop. I have an ethernet connection (via USB-C to ethernet) between the laptop and the controller. I have tried following tutorial on how to set this up. I have added an ethernet device with the IP-address of the PLC. Further I added a ModbusTCP_Slave_Device with default settings. I get the error "Failed to open TCP Port: 1" when I try to go online with the PLC. Earlier I tested the exact same set up with the soft PLC from codesys. I can then read/write values correctly with the Modbus master i have running on the laptop. Hope anybody can help me with this, thanks in advance!

Hello, Up until yesterday (2023/11/20) I was able to connect to the PLC remotely with no issues through Edge Gateway. However, today I can see the Edge Gateway online but I can find the PLC even if I do a network scan. Following the same path as janber0206 @ https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/automation_server/thread/e78b11d7e9/, I looked into certificates and found that one of the Trusted publisher certificates has expired earlier today (2023/11/21). Please see image. Questions are: Does it affect the connection to the PLC through Edge Gateway? How do I fix it? Thank you very much in advance!

I am trying to make a LD program for an existing installation with a motor. Here an inductive sensor is used to give an input, as a check to verify the conveyor is actually running. Here the plan was to use a TOF timer which gets constantly reset when the sensor input gets detected. The problem is, that if the conveyor is stuck, and the sensor sends a continous signal, the timer will never do what it is supposed to do. Therefor I need some help on how I can convert the input to a pulse, with the help of something like a SOTU. I just cannot find this in codesys anywhere.

Is there any commands that allow to edit the "Properties... >> Access Control" of the POU? The other possibility is to set the permissions with "Project >> User Management >> Permissions... >> Project objects >> Modify >> ... >> myPOU", but I did not find the related Python commands. Otherwise, is there a global setting that allows to set the permissions by default? For example, Modify = Denied for everyone user by default. Thank you in advance for your help, Nico

In a recent project with SoftMotion 4.15.0.0, where I integrated two SD drives from CMZ (from catalogue EDS and not imported), on CANopen bus, I found that the SoftMotion MC_Reset function does not reset the drive faults. Even if the drive is in fault, either on the device or on the drive at the CoDeSys level, the function does not reset, instead reporting the error code: no error to reset. Finally, I had to connect the reset bit of the ControlWord directly to a tag in my program. Something I never had to do on other drives: Lexium, etc. all reset simply with MC_Reset.

@gepert, When you say "I do not turn off power", are you saying you don't power off the drive, or you don't turn of the MC_POWER function block? I read your statement as you don't kill actual electrical power. MC_POWER should stay enabled. @Gustavo, not related to problem at all, but when you say 1.6 Nm is only enough torque to unscrew a loose bottle cap, I think that's a bit low. A quick mental math I use is 1 Nm is almost the same force as 1kG applied to a 10cm wrench. So 1.6kG applied to a 10cm wrench is still not a huge force, but more than enough to be felt if trying to turn the shaft by hand.

However I feel main documentation is lacking. For example, where can I find that object has "is_device" attribute? Of course I need to remove check: if treeobj.is_device: But simply removing this test condition will not produce what I want. I need to print PLC Logic, Application, ad other nodes in the Project tree. Where to find this documentation?
