Hello, We are trying to implement an automated method of adding of a certificate and private key to the Windows certificate store for encrypting CODESYS projects. We want to do this so that users do not have to deal with details of certificates at all and to prevent user error. We are keen on enforcing strong private key protection since it ensures that a password is required for the certificate to be used to decrypt a CODESYS project. When we add a certificate to the certificate store and enable strong key protection using the Microsoft Management Console Certificates snap-in, it works as expected. However, through this method the user may mistakenly not enable strong private key protection. For the certificates we create programmatically (using Microsoft’s Cryptography Next Generation API in .Net 7) bag attributes are added to the certificate and key by the API. These bag attributes are as follows: Bag Attributes localKeyID: 01 00 00 00 subject=C = xx, ST = xxx, O = xxx, OU = xxx, CN = xxx issuer=C = xx, ST = xxx, L = xxx, O = xxx, OU = xxx, CN = xxx -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- [encoded certificate] -----END CERTIFICATE----- After using this certificate with bag attributes to encrypt a CODESYS project, it can’t be decrypted, showing this error: "The specified project could not be loaded. Possible reasons might be: - The project file is corrupted or invalid - The project has been saved with a newer version of the programming system. If this is the case, you can open the project in the corresponding version. Choose "Save as..." with the appropriate storage version, and retry again. - You may not have the necessary permissions to lad the project" We know that the bag attributes are causing the issue because if we manually edit the certificate file to remove them before using the certificate to encrypt a project, the project can be decrypted as expected. However, we are unable to automatically enforce strong key protection using this method. Such bash script detect the presence of new .deb files and install them on system. My automation solution don't allow to be maintained by dedicated personal, thus even the CODESYS runtime SW must be installed using an "automatic" procedure instead of using the CODESYS tool. remark I've been using the following procedure since the runtime v4.5 without any issue. Before installing the new runtime packages, I need to copy the file CODESYSControl_User.cfg (here attached) because of new section which is necessary to add in order to allow some folders to be written by CODESYS runtime v4.9 Up to now, this has been unnecessary, this is the main difference between my previos bash file and the new one. remark If I skip this action, everythings goes fine, but my CODESYS application can't work as it needs to access some folders on controller's file system. Hello, we have the same problem here. Our configuration in the following: Codesys V3.5 SP19 running on Exor Exware700Q Profinet network connected on Eth1 IOLink Master Turck TBEN-S2-4IOL version 3.5.9.0 IOLink sensors E+H & Sick (Pressure, T°) We installed the codesys IO link package and have the codesys IO Link SL licence activated (on a dongle) Our problem is the following: we got the IODD files from E+H & Sick we add the devices in the codesys device repository with success They appear in the devices tree under IODD branch We added the TBEN IOLink master under the Profinet IO . The IO link master are ok and display online. The IO-Link SL package datasheet indicate that there would be a way to scan the IOLink device from the network but we did not find any way to trigger this scan. (we expect to get this from a right click on each IO-Link Master module but the only possibility there is "Plug device") When clicking on Plug Device, we get a browse window with profinet IO modules. The IODD devices are not there so we cannot select them. But other devices for other brands are available and can be plugged. Our question are : 1) how do we update the Profinet IO Module catalogue in order to be able to plug the E+H & Sick Sensors that we have to work with? 2) how do we activate the Scan IOLlink device that is supposed to be included in the Codesys IO-link package? 3) where can we find the manual explaining how to use this package?

CODESYS Control for PFC200 4.13.00 CODESYS IIoT Libraries SL 1.11.0.0 Application Based License: CODESYS Control Standard M I have (2) projects with similar code base and both using Wago PFC200. On the second project I am seeing 2 things that I have not been able to resolve: 1) Errors in the log under the Ethernet Item: IoDrvEthernet: [PCI\E1Q51CE62] Could not be found on target! Please check the Ethernet settings. 2) Exception for CPU Load. "Processorload watchdog: plcload=100, maxplcload=95" I have slowed down cyclic tasks on this project, even though on the first project there is actually more code - and it does not exhibit this behavior. In looking at the CPU loading via Linux 'TOP' command there appears to be 20% idle. So plenty of headroom (my opinion). In an effort to troubleshoot I have duplicated the target hardware on my bench. It ran overnight without a CPU load exception. On the test system, I have tried (3) version of the ethernet device. 3.5.16.0 3.5.17.0 and 4.2.0.0 Presently the log does not show the error, but status says the module reports an error. I really do not know if this issue is related to the CPU load exception. The issue does not appear to effect ethernet communications (ModbusTCP or SNMP or Webvisu or PuTTy into Linux Shell). On my test bench I have ModbusTCP slave simulators for all ModbusTCP slaves, but only (1) of the (5) SNMP devices present.

I have an IFM cr1077 display. I would like to show B&R mapp view on IFM visualization. I used coedsys web browser elemnt for this. I could see IFM working fine in Internet web browser but IFM device shows white screen and freezes. I think there is problem with IFM showing the web browser. Is my understanding of the web visu right? am I doing any mistake here?

Hi, I assume that you have a Pfc200 G2 or something and work with the original WAGO runtime. Then I would recommend the WagoSysDynamicIoMapping. Here in the example projects there is a PDF file for the library: https://downloadcenter.wago.com/learning-material/details/ll0w3pmdunzvem83g1 There is a global functional component in a GVL of the library. I think it's called DynKbusIoManager or something. The active terminals are registered there. Then there are filter Fb's for e.g. the first clamp with a specific article number. Everything is in the PDF.

Hello, I have been using CODESYS for a while and after updating to version 3.5.18.50 the code randomly stops with this fault. Why is that ? I have tried to locate the fault in the Call Stack but I dont know what to do now... I have updated the projects properly for the version I am using. This fault started happening after like 14 days of using the new version of CODESYS.

I´ve been training the use of a RPI as PLC, which works pretty well, however while both the RPI and PC (running codesys) remain connected to the same network. But I´m wondering whether there is any possibility to represent that value as Text list. It´s quite common in other HMI tools and this is very useful in case of using some ErrorID for detail specification of error. Hi, I have the same problem. However I am using ethernet connection not USB. I can ping the PLC and also connect to it via Wago ethernet settings, but I cannot upload using the Codesys 2.3. My PLC is Wago 750-862. The detailed error is - " connect: Connection refused Write attempt from invalid socket. " Any help would be appreciated.

Hello good morning everyone I would like to ask a question, is it possible to directly connect a device that only contains modbus RTU communication through an R-45 connector, directly to the PC? Or would you need an intermediate device to achieve communication? It would be of great help to me because I cannot achieve communication between the Codesys simulator plc and a Fuji Frenic mini VFD, please help me if anyone has had the same experience. On a PC with the Control Win, this is probably related to the fact that the CAN drivers are not loaded. Go to the folder where your Control Win Configuration file is: - E.g. C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\E1FA7ABE - Open the CODESYSControl.cfg - Remove the semi-colon in front of the CAN driver you want to use (section ComponentManager). - Set the component ID to the next number in the list (e.g. Component.8) - Save this file and restart the Control Win.

I have tried to use the rev24 (the device repository entry not from 'scan for devices') and i keep getting 'invalid output mapping' or 'invalid input mapping' in the ethercat log. I cant even get the bus to run from the device description that comes from 'scan for devices'...

When using the FileOpenSave dialog and using the Visu_FbFileListProvider FB as an In/Output I could not manage to detect the difference of pressing the "Load" button on the dialog vs. pressing the "Cancel" button. In both cases, the selected file is updated if the dialog is closed when checking using the Visu_FbFileListProvider.GetSelectedFileName() command. How can I prevent reading or writing of a file when the "Cancel" button was pressed?

I'm not really sure what you are trying to do, but maybe you are referring to using the CmpCharDevice library? When you "open" the connection to a device, you can pass flags. What helped me is to set the non-blocking flag. I am currently writing a program where the PLC shall be set up as a Modbus TCP client, but I dont know how to add parameters to devices in codesys. I'm pretty new to the codesys environment. The picture in the attachment is on a similar PLC project where I have not written the code. my goal is to add this parameter in another project.

you need at them moment a download once (for the configuration files generated including addresses) then stop the plc - exchange the persistence file ( without the config file) This will be improved to 3.5.18.6 and 3.5.20.0. (possible then to generate offline bootproject including full persistenmanager files) - this is if you have not 100% the same bootapplication on the devices. In case you copy the whole Application (PLCLogic) directory it should work out of the box - but only with 100% same bootprojects as mentioned above. By the CODESYS Automation Server would help solve this too.

Hello, The title pretty much says it all. When trying to open a FB from the CFC/Ladder/SFC editors while online, the FB does not open in an online view of that specific instance. Instead, it opens an offline view with '???' shown for the value of any variable. This makes debugging extremely cumbersome, as I have to find each FB in the POU window and select the specific instance I am trying to view. Anyone know the cause/solution for this? Thanks.
