Hello, unfortunately I am unable to load an OPC UA information model as a NodeSet2.xml file into the CODESYS Communication Manager. Importing via Tools -> OPC UA Information Model Repository still works, but when I try to load the model explicitly, CODESYS crashes without displaying an error message. Has anyone else encountered this problem, or does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Can anyone shed some light on this issue im having. at random, sometimes days, sometimes weeks or months. i get this error and have to reset the plc. Im using a Weintek HMI with ethernet/ip remote io and vsd. i have tried increasing my task times and watchdogs. and when i view my PLCload in the shell its normally around 3-4%, highest ive ever seen is 7%. Nothing i do seems to help the issue. Could the HMI's Codesys CPU be getting to hot do to high ambient temp?

Hello, I am currently scaling 4-20mA signals and the scaled output (temperature) has to be sent via modbus protocol to a tool like doctor modbus or modbus poll. I have defined my inputs as real as and the output is also real, but to send this output via modbus it has to be of word. So how will i convert real into word and then send the generated output via modbus?

I am attempting to install CODESYS 3.5.22.20 and the installer gets stuck at "Install Package CODESYS Compatibility Package 3.5.17.20" every single time. I've tried reinstalling the software multiple times and the same issue persists. I've tried running the installer as an administrator and even turned off my virus protection and the same issue persists. I've attached a photo for reference. Has anyone run into this issue before or have any idea what I can do to complete the install?

Updated the Codesys Safety SIL2 package from v3.5.18.1 to v3.5.22.10 Codesys Version 64 3.5.18.0 After the update the assignment of variables from different VarGlobal lists was unstable. Selecting one group could cause another group to be deselected after code generation. I was unable to perform a compilation were all variables maintained the selection after code generation. Rolled back to the older version and the issue seem to be mostly solved.

Environment: Target: Revolution Pi (Kunbus RevPi), armv7l 32-bit OS: Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 (Stretch), kernel 4.19.95-rt38-v7 (SMP PREEMPT RT, built 2022-03-22) CAN: via SocketCAN (can0) Runtime: CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi SL IDE: CODESYS V3.5 SP22 + patch 3 (previously V3.5 SP22 + patch 2, where everything worked with runtime 4.18.0.0) Library: CANBusAPI from the "CAN API" package, version 1.0.0.3 Summary: The setup worked correctly with V3.5 SP22 + patch 2 and runtime 4.18.0.0. After updating the IDE to SP22 + patch 3 and the runtime to 4.21.0.0, CAN transmission via the CANBusAPI library stopped working. Reception is unaffected. There are no error indications anywhere: the application runs normally and the CAN diagnosis reports a healthy bus. Systematic testing (below) shows the problem follows the runtime version, not the IDE update. Regression isolation: The same application (compiled under SP22 + patch 3, unchanged between tests) was downloaded to the same target with different runtime versions, changing only the runtime each time: 4.18.0.0: TX and RX both work 4.19.0.0: TX and RX both work 4.20.0.0: TX and RX both work 4.21.0.0: RX works, TX does not The behavior is fully reproducible in both directions (downgrading to 4.20 restores TX, upgrading to 4.21 breaks it again). Hardware, wiring, OS, project, and application code are identical across all tests. Diagnostic data (CANBusDiagnosis FB, while the application is transmitting on 4.21): ctSendCounter: incrementing normally ctTxErrorCounter: 0 ctRxErrorCounter: 0 eState: ERROR_FREE xBusAlarm: FALSE So the library accepts and counts the outgoing messages, no TX errors are reported, and the CAN controller state stays error-free, but the messages never reach the other nodes on the bus. Expected behavior: Messages sent via CANBusAPI (CANDriver / SendMessage) are transmitted on the bus, as with runtime versions up to and including 4.20.0.0. Notes: I am aware that the CAN API package (1.0.0.3, from 2016) is old; however, the regression is tied to the runtime version, since the identical binary works on 4.18-4.20. Questions: Is there a known change in CmpSocketCanDrv / CmpCAACanL2 between 4.20.0.0 and 4.21.0.0 that could affect TX via the CAN API library? Is runtime 4.21.0.0 still supported on Debian 9 Stretch (kernel 4.19, RT-patched), or is a newer OS required? If a minimum OS/kernel requirement was introduced with 4.21, is it documented?

Hi ! I am get crazy.... I try to start osk.exe from Visu or PLC. From Visu I can't load it, always error (It change from programm execute always to load receipe ..!?!?) From PLC always freeze of PLC, - I allowed the win service of the PLC the data exchange between desktop and service - I allowed in ..user.cfg [SysProcess] Command=AllowAll Shutdown with SysProcessExecuteCommand works, but 'osk.exe' or the complete path always crashed the system. And like always: No documentation. Just guessing. Or know somebody more and have a link for me? THANKS !

I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but getting the CurrentUserGroupID like this will not work, because there could be multiple Visualization Clients and each can have a different user that is logged in. Also when you go online with CODESYS and open an Visualization, this is counted as a client. Probably this is the reason you see it changing. What you can to is "iterate" over all clients and then see which user is logged in on which visualization Client. For this you need to add the Visu Utils library to the project and call the FbIterateClients. Hi @ph0010421, I tried the program the TimeTaken is calculated when stop is triggered. I want the TimeTaken to be continuously calculated and counting when a BOOL variable is true. Hallo zusammen, hi all, ich habe den gleichen Fehler. Auf einem Raspberry Pi geht der Fehler weg, wenn ich alles bereinige und dann vollständig übersetze. Wenn das Projekt im Codesys Development System wieder neu geladen wird ist der Fehler aber wieder da. Mit eine Win V3 x64 PLC kann ich den Fehler nur unterbinden wenn ich auf der HMI das VUM_Login einbinde. Dieses brauche ich aber nicht, da ich die HMI für das User Management selbst gestaltet habe. Das funktioniert auch. I have the same error. On a Raspberry Pi the error goes away if I clean everything and then compile completely. When the project is reloaded in the Codesys Development System, the error returns. With a Win V3 x64 PLC I can only prevent the error if I integrate the VUM_Login on the HMI. But I don't need this because I designed the HMI for user management myself. That works too. Anyone have an idea to fix this problem. Many thanks

Hi everybody, I've been facing problems with the PDF visualization in Web Browser. I am trying to open a pdf file called 'sample.pdf' which I manually saved inside PlcLogic/visu folder. I am setting the web browser URL as: 'http://127.0.0.1:8080/sample.pdf' but I get 'refused connection'. I got a similar error trying to open https sites and I discovered that I can only open http websites. Opening 'http://de.wikipedia.org' everything works fine. I also tried to check using code whether the sample.pdf is present in the directory. Unfortunately, when I try to read directories of 'PlcLogic' I get file FILE_OPERATION_DENIED (I am using File.DirList). I would like to be able to open PDF files in web browser. Possibly to move new PDF files in the folder as my customer wants to display different pdf manuals on the hmi. Here you find some screenshots and my .project. I am using Codesys 3.5.19.70. Hi, I have successfully deployed "Virtual Control SL" on a few x86/64 machines now. However, I'd now like to deploy this to a Raspberry Pi (ARM64). To do this I prepared the Raspberry Pi5 with the following prereq's; * Minimal PREEMPT Debian * Latest Bootfirmware * full SSH access via non-root account * Podman * RedHat Cockpit with CODESYS LicensServer plugin up and running However, I can't seem to resolve copying the correct (deploy) Images as they wont show up in the CODESYS IDE I have added CODESYS Virtual Control for Linux SL and the CODESYS LicenseServer for Linux SL via the CODESYS installer on my DevBox. I open CODESYS > Tools > Deploy Control SL Next I enter the SSH targets IP and Credentials and for my RPi5 and it shows "Connected". In the next tab, Deployment, the dropdown box only shows one (1) image, which also is the incorrect CPU architecture. Only Virtual Control AMDx64 shows up (!?) while I expect to see the ARM64 based images for both Edge and Control. Has someone encountered this too? Objective: I want to dynamically update the content with strings and JPEG images received from a TCP/IP socket. For this purpose, I am exploring the possibility of utilizing the Web Browser feature of the Visualization toolbox. Example: In a standard web browser, entering data:text/plain;charset=utf-8;base64,SGVsbG8gc3RyYW5nZXI= in the URL window will display "Hello stranger" on the webpage. Issue: When attempting to use this method in the Web Browser of the Visualization toolbox, the content does not display as expected. Instead, it shows the error:'Navigation to the webpage was canceled.'. Request: I seek guidance on how to resolve this issue so that the Web Browser in the Visualization toolbox correctly interprets and displays the data URI content. Alternative Solution Welcomed: Or, if it is possible to directly use Codesys Structured Text (ST) variables within an HTML page, this approach would also meet my requirements. Hello I'm trying to use DirOpen to access a directory where then I can read/list the files inside. But I can't list any files because DirOpen.xError is always true. In eError the message is this: " ERROR_UNKNOWN Local library error ID (0: no error; 5101: time out)**** " I have in the file explorer the path 'C:\CodesysTest\Aluminium' and to make sure I also created in the plc a folder to 'prj/Recipes/Aluminium'. I tried using the different paths, but in both it happens the same thing.Inside the folder Aluminium there is two csv files, that I want to list. I added in the library manager CAA Files and CAA Types. I am using the example of https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/CAA%20File/Current/Examples.html#directory but not matter what I do, I can't get the list the names of the files. What am I missing?

Noob alert! I’m just getting my feet wet with CODESYS. I have a “Hello World” project in the CODESYS IDE. I’m using the Win SoftPLC on the same computer. I’ve added a Communication Manager under the Application node. Under that is “OPC UA Server -> IEC Symbol Publishing 01”. I also added “OPC_UA_Symbols -> Information Model”. I’m not sure I need the second thing. I was grasping at straws. I also set up several dummy symbols in the IEC Symbol Publishing 01 node. In my C# application, I am trying to get an instance of EndpointDescription from CoreClientUtils.SelectEndpoint(“opc.tcp://localhost:1217/Gateway-1”, useSecurity: false, 15000). I wasn’t sure about the “Gateway-1”. I found that in the CODESYS IDE under the project -> Communication Settings. When I execute the previous method call in C#, I get: “BadSecureChannelClosed”. I have no idea what that means. Any pointers to documentation are welcome.

Unluckily the first file is allways hidden.
