Hi, I added the following lines to /etc/codesyscontrol/CODESYSControl_User.cfg: [CmpCharDevice] PermittedPath.0=/dev/i2c* PermittedPath.1=/dev/spidev* PermittedPath.2=/sys/class/gpio/* PermittedPath.3=/dev/gpiochip* However, I'm still unable to read or control GPIO pins from any CODESYS application. Specifically, setting the pin direction (and, thus, the IoDrvGpioSysfs driver configuration) fails, with a rather non-descript error in the logs: Description Component Setting direction failed for GPIO pin 586 IEC Update configuration failed from driver IoDrvGPIOSysfs CmpIoMgr I'm running CODESYS Control for Linux ARM64 SL version 4.21.0.0; it's running in rootless mode, as the codesyscontrol user, but said user is in the gpio group and can otherwise normally interact with GPIO, both via gpioset/gpioget and via the sysfs driver in /sys/class/gpio/. The system is a custom 64-bit Raspberry OS based distro, running on a Raspberry Pi CM5 on kernel 6.18.34 with PREEMPT_RT scheduling.

Do you use 32bit versions of CODESYS? Why not 64bit? And just use the installer to manage your various versions and add-ons. Optionally use separate repositories to prevent possible library conflicts.

Yes, you can use the .eds files also in CODESYS 3. Install them through the menu Tools - Device Repository. Then you can add the CANopen devices to your CANopen manager in your device configuration.

Codesys V3.5 SP21 Patch 3 Codesys HMI 3.5.21.30 I'm trying to connect to an OPC UA server on a Kuka robot controller using Codesys HMI's data source manager. I get through the login phase and the client browses most of the data structure on the server but errors out toward the end with a generic: Error while browsing the client, Failed with service result: BadUnexpectedError. If I complete the data source setup and try to update variables, I get the attached stack trace for the error. I've tried several different endpoint and security options. Most get me through the login but all error out while browsing. UA Expert happily connects and browses with the same configuration. I've connected this same version of Codesys to TwinCAT OPC UA servers and Siemens PLC OPC UA servers. Any ideas on what may be causing the generic BadUnexpectedError during OPC UA server browse?

Hello Tim, I am using CODESYS Visu V4.8.1.0. It works when I turn off the "Support client animation and overlay of native elements". But if I do that, dialog box moving and other options are also disabled so it is a bit problematic. Thank you for helping.

Hello everyone, I am currently using OPC UA in CODESYS with the security mode BASIC256SHA256 – Signed and Encrypted. The OPC UA Server is running on an RTE CX device, and the HMI is running on another computer. I have reviewed many CODESYS documents and successfully established communication when the security mode is set to None with Anonymous login. However, when security is enabled, the server does not provide its certificate for the CODESYS HMI client to trust. Interestingly, the client can send its certificate to the server, and UAExpert works normally, but the CODESYS HMI client does not receive the server certificate. Can anyone help clarify what I might be missing? I have been stuck on this issue for three days. If I missed or misconfigured any step, please let me know. How do I negate an output signal from an OR gate. I have tried right click to no avail and I cannot find an propriate NEGATE box? I want to save the output from the block to an inverted variable.
