Which PLC do you use? If it is a standard CODESYS Runtime (from the store), then maybe update the device in your project to the latest version. If it is not a standard CODESYS Runtime, then maybe contact the supplier.

Hi, You can give a try it by adding "Codesys.exe" in the "Exclusions > Process" section of the Windows Security Center or your antivirus program. I hope it works for your situation. Antivirus programs check many things during both the installation or startup of an application, and may be slow down or block some functions. Regards Imdat

Here am using the CODESYS V3.5 SP21 PATCH2 ,VERSION 3.5.21.20 , and Downloaded extension package 4.16.0.0 (old versions are not available in the extension CodeSys installer) Devices used here are: BUS COUPLER : 2403869 BK PN TPS Module carrier slot 1 : 1088127 AXL SE DI16/1 Module carrier slot 2 : 1088062 AXL SE AI4 | 4-20 Module carrier slot 3 : 1088129 AXL SE DO16/1 Module carrier slot 4 : 1088123 AXL SE AO4 | 4-20 -->Start a New Project Type: Standard Project Device: CODESYS Control Win V3 x64 Language: Structured Text -->Install GSDML File Navigate to: Tools > Device Repository > Install Select the GSDML file path (downloaded from Phoenix Contact for device coupler Part ID: BK PN TPS 2403869) Click Renew Device Repository Close the dialog -->Add Device to Project -->Right-click on Devices > Add Device Issue: Devices from the repository are not available to select or call into the project! Hello good morning everyone I would like to ask a question, is it possible to directly connect a device that only contains modbus RTU communication through an R-45 connector, directly to the PC? Or would you need an intermediate device to achieve communication? It would be of great help to me because I cannot achieve communication between the Codesys simulator plc and a Fuji Frenic mini VFD, please help me if anyone has had the same experience. I need to be able to update (change) the interface of an IO-Link device at runtime. The reason is the connected sensor can be selected at runtime, and some sensors we use have a 2 byte IN interface, others have a 4 byte IN interface, others 16 byte IN, others 16 byte IN/OUT (see attached screenshot). Is it possible at all? When yes, which function should I use? Thank you!

I just try to help. Anyway it is a big difference if a Store SL runtime or an oem plc and licence is used. These licenses need to be activated on plc side - so you have dependencies to the version (CODESYS and Runtime Version) Did you ever ask Epis out for this situation? They should know which license fit to their device. Even they should know if the device is capable for Softmotion and see the requiremnts in the CODESYS store: Runtime 4.9.0.0 - how should this work with Epis 3.5.16.x? Anyway refund is not a problem.

Hi everyone, I’m developing a custom CODESYS I/O driver for my company’s device, and I’ve been studying the example projects in CODESYS V3.5 SP20 Patch 5. In the IOMappingExample.project, I noticed that EtherCAT devices provide additional configuration tabs in the Device Editor, such as General, Process Data, etc. However, for custom I/O driver examples (based on IoDrv), the Device Editor only shows the default tabs like <devicename> I/O Mapping or <devicename> Parameters.</devicename></devicename> I’d like to create custom tabs or configuration pages in the Device Editor (e.g., “General Settings”, “Communication”, etc.) to allow users to configure parameters in a more structured way. Could anyone explain: How to define and register custom tabs or UI pages in the Device Editor? What tools or SDKs are needed to create UI elements such as combo boxes or check boxes? How to bind those UI controls to device parameters defined in the XML (device description)? Any example, SDK reference, or documentation link would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

I'm struggling with the implementation of the IElement interface (in the ElementCollections library), which I will use to create a SortedList. I created a class (FB) "Device" that implements this interface and that has a "Priority" property that I want to use in order to compare the devices in my implementation of the ElementCompareTo method. Unfortunately, the IElement.ElementCompareTo method needs an IElement as an input, which doesn't know about the "Priority" property of "Device". I tried to define the input itfElement as a Device, but then it doesn't want to compile, because the type in the implementation doesn't match the interface.

I want to implement an extended I2C master for Raspberry Pi Control. I was hoping for it to be as easy as creating a library with a FB that extends i2cMaster and associating it with a device following the forge drivers documentation, but I haven't managed to make it work as the driver behaves only as an i2c slave. I'm thinking this is because the forge forum only talks about extending i2c, and the master portion is omitted since most users won't want to add a custom one. I'd like to know if I'm doing something wrong. Is it really possible to make an I2C master extension device? If so, are there public examples we can check out? Any info on this topic will be appreciated.
