ok, that's different than our issue then. We're using Schneider Electric M262 PLCs, and we've had it where certain web browsers cause the web server to only allow https connections, but it's not recoverable with a refresh. It usually requires a power cycle or even a full firmware flash. Your issue might have more to do with the timing. I don't know if it helps you, but we normally run our visu task at 200mS, with an update rate of 200mS. Seems to work. I went through this: https://faq.codesys.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=112525371 but it really seems like trial and error.

Hallo, das konkrete Problem konnte ich seither leider nicht lösen, allerdings habe ich mit SP19 Patch 4 einen Workaround gefunden, der zumindest für meine Anwendung funktioniert: Zunächst besteht das Problem nicht für alle Funktionalitäten gleichermaßen. Die Anzeige einer .bmp oder .tiff-Datei im Visu-Elementtyp Bild beispielsweise funktioniert aus dem lokalen Dateisystem. Die Anzeige von .cnc-Dateien in einer Tabelle dagegen nicht. Allerdings funktioniert das wiederum, wenn der Dateipfad in den Ordner der PLC führt, genannt '_cnc'. In der PLC wird dieser Ordner über den Pfad _cnc/ erreicht. Auch lohnt es sich einen Blick in die PLC Config-Datei zu werfen und ggf. Anpassungen vorzunehmen. Einzelne Einträge definieren Zugriffsrechte und ähnliches. Die beschriebene Lösung ist nicht sonderlich schön und es erklärt das Problem nicht. Vielleicht kann das noch jemand anders beantworten.

Hallo everyone, I am working on new PLC of Weidmueller that uses Codesys SP19. I made the upgrade at the Patch 4 coming from patch 0. Unce made the upgrade everything is working well in the progect except the web visu user menagent. In the new version, when I perfom the login, I cannot use the keyboard of the device; the window where to digit the user name and password opens, the buttons "OK" and "Cancel" work but the system doesn't allow to put input from the device keybord, the mouse behaves as it is an image. If I active the virtual keypad or numpad it works otherwise nothing. I am wondering if it is a bug of the new package or if I must set something else. Thanks in advance, Riccardo.

Why do you develop things like this? The workflow should be highly dependent on autocomplete, then if that's not super obvious browse to definition and everything is made clear possibly with the checking of a few types. The nature of how things are done makes me think these libraries aren't developed for general use and are actually internal or for partners. The example projects include objects that don't appear in autocomplete and then lead nowhere obvious when browsing. Do you consider developer workflow when creating these libraries? Are some libraries really for public use such as Visu Utils and others not? If so which? It's really hard to tell.

Hi, I am trying to make my runtime support TargetViso on 4.12.0.0 runtime. First when I tried to install package I got error due to missing libraries that are generated through qt-base. After compiling and installing related qt lib when I tried to install the package, I didnt get lib dependencies error but I got another error: [ERROR] The installed QT Version does not meet the minimum required version 6.4.2. Please install version 6.4.2 or higher and try again. When I check Qt version I get the following response QMake version 3.1 Using Qt version 6.5.0 in /usr/local/qt6/lib. I tried with Qt version 6.9.0 but that didn't help. Any idea on what coudl be the reason. When I looked for codesys related processes the related libraries were included within environment.

Hi, I'm experiencing a bug with the latest version of SoftMotion CNC library (4.17), where the 3DPath object in Visu is missing all the important properties. I've verified that a previous app I was working on with library version 4.16 did not have this issue and the issue is duplicated in that project when I update it to 4.17. I've already submitted a bug report, but for the time being I need to revert the project I'm currently working on back a revision. I've tried right clicking on the library but the option to select the version is greyed out. Can anyone help me?

It will be great, if Codesys publishes a example or give a hint how to accesse this client values with the VisuUtil lib or other future-proof way!

If you have a Windows system (RTE), then why not run the CODESYS HMI as separate controller. This could easily be moved to another PC if required. In the HMI you could also still use the Symbolic Var access as part of the Data Source Manager, although maybe OPC is the preferred way to make it more future proof. Or what about the Remote Target Visu. Then you can reduce the load of the main controller, while still only having to create one application including Visualization. This is now also supported for Linux systems. Hello guys, I have the following problem with the Codesys visualization (4.6.0) and Codesys V3.5.20.20. I would like to use my own HTML5 elements for my visualization. To do this, I have to select the option “Support client animations and overlay of native elements” in the visualization manager. But with the selection of this option, the visu has a massive loading delay when changing frame content. This happens even if I have not even added HTML5 elements. However, if this option is deactivated, then changing the content of the frames works without any problems, it loads instantly. I have already tried to change various refresh rates but without success. Have any of you experienced this and been able to fix it?

For my own ENUM variable I have declared and enabled text list value is displayed as text, but I need enum text displayed from softMotion and other internal FB's. In the picture I have one of desired ENUM variable setup, but in the visu I have number, but in the watch window it's text. There is probably some checkbox to tick, but was looking for an hour, can't find a solution. Would apreciate some help

Auf die Schnelle fällt mir keine Möglichkeit ein, wie die Webvisu aus dem WebBrowser heraus den PC auf dem der Browser läuft, direkt beeinflussen, sprich herunterfahren könnte. Die Webvisu ist ja letztlich nichts anderes, als eine HTML Seite, die im Browser angezeigt wird. Als einzige Lösung fällt mir der file transfer (Beispiel findest du hier https://content.helpme-codesys.com/de/CODESYS%20Examples/_ex_visu_logging_of_variable_value_changes-1799730.html) ein. Du könntest über einen Button in der Visu z.B. eine Datei shutdown.txt von der PLC an den IPC senden. Auf dem IPC müsste dann entsprechend ein Dienst laufen, der zyklisch schaut: Datei shutdown.txt vorhanden, wenn ja, Datei löschen und IPC herunterfahren. Viel Erfolg!

Hi, thanks for the link. Maybe I create elements in incorrect way. I always use Interface Editor to create variables which are used inside element (see pics). After that I place element in my visu and use Reference property to link variable or set the value. In that case the value of string is not transferred to general text list for translation as I mentioned before. Do I have to all properties which influence behavior of my element create in Frame configuration instead? What´s the difference to the Interface editor? Thanks a lot. M.

Hallo goodmorning, I am using codesys 3.5 sp19 with Weidmueller PLC. I created a page with several checkbox to manage an array of bool. When I build the project the system doesn't signal any error, when I go in simulation mode everything works until I click on checkbox to toggle the variables. Other visu elements works proprerly (e.g. bottons, lights, ect, ect) but the check boxes cause a crash giving the following error: Error while processing the visualization: Client id not present or no longer valid I serched to figure the problem out and to search a solution on the web but nothing. Hi, I am looking for a good way to update a decice remotely. The devices are distributed worldwide and have normally no connection to the internet. The CODESYS Automation Server can't help here. So I want to update the decices via USB stick. I have written my own code* to update the files that are created with ‘Create boot application’. But sometimes strange things happen: visu elements are present, but are not found the application is no longer registered and therefore no longer starts I have not yet found out why these errors occur. Has anyone had similar problems or found a better way? Is there perhaps a CODESYS library or something else? Many thanks! *the code deletes the directories on the device and copies the new directories from the USB stick while the system is running (goes without saying)

I am tring to use the Web Browser tool, but it doesn't seem to work properly. I put several links in several forms: https://google.com http://google.com/ http://www.google.com http://www.google.com/ http://www.studiojomega.it/ . . . https://192.168.1.101/u-os-app-codesys/application/visualization/webvisu.htm But I obtain always errors; mainly 400 and 404 and in the normal visu this message appears "www.Google.com has refuse the connection". Is the codesys browser able to work as every other browser or has it some limitation? There is some particular precaution to consider when I pass the link to the codesys browser? Hi bertus, I cannot see any problem in the code you posted. Just some ideas: What is the value of D_ANGLE_TOL? - Do you need the assignment bAbort := NOT bDecoder? Does it help to leave it out? Any errors (e.g. SMC_SmoothPath.Error/ErrorID) or PLC log messages? What if you comment out SMC_SmoothMerge and SMC_LimtiDynamics, is corner smoothing still not working? Is bDecode written from a different task (e.g. visu)? Then I would recommend to assign to a local variable (bDecodeLocal := bDecode) and use that for all FBs. Otherwise, FBs might see different values of bDecode in a single cycle, which will cause problems. Regards, Georg

I think google has fooled me here, the only thing I can conclude so far is what i now from reading the licenseManager, which tells me that my valid license have the following product-code CONTROL - 16#3000 VISU - 16#3003, feature map: 1000 COM - 16#3004, feature map: 0200 Will different level of license give different product codes or will I see the active license level by other means? What I am trying to achieve is block Starting a machine with time limited operation should the application be larger than what the license permits (DEMO-mode). And give this information to the user by an alarm/information.

Sorry for being late to the party... so it is not possible to use the webbrowser tool to display external websites in a visu anymore? As it is not possible to simply "adjust the ContentSecurityPolicyIncludeTrustedOrigins setting in the automatically generated webvisu.cfg.json file" as stated in the docs? We need to display data read from a Raspberry Pi (part of our computer network) in our webvisu. We used to do it by entering the Pi's IP address as the URL variable in the webbrowser element but now (I don't know since when, I'm new on the job) "The page’s settings blocked the loading of a resource (frame-src) at 'IP address' because it violates the following directive: “default-src 'self' 'unsafe-inline'”. What are the options for displaying the data?

I have tried the Scrolling begin variable, and the visu manager is setting it to FALSE right away but the table doesn't actually scroll back to top. If I check the “Scroll elements with scrollbar” box, then the Scrolling begin variable works perfectly, but now the swipe/pan scrolling no longer works and you have to use the scrollbar. That’s a classic CODESYS quirk. As soon as you enable AllowFileTransferServices=1, the web server locks down and demands authentication for everything, including WebVisu sessions. Since you're on a Raspberry Pi / Linux, trying to make the built-in CODESYS web server do both secure file handling and unauthenticated kiosk visu is usually a losing battle. A couple of ways to get around this: The cleaner route (separate the jobs): Turn AllowFileTransferServices back off in the config so your kiosk WebVisu opens freely without any login prompts. Then, handle the file download outside of CODESYS — just run a dead-simple Nginx/lighttpd file server or a tiny Python script on the Pi pointed at your export folder (/var/opt/codesys/...). That way your PLC security stays intact, and the kiosk screen just works. If you really want it through CODESYS: Check your Device -> Users and Groups in the IDE. Make sure the Everyone / Anonymous user group actually has explicit view permissions checked for the Visualization. Sometimes when file services are toggled, anonymous users lose the default visu-read rights and get booted straight to the login dialog. URL / Browser trick for kiosk: If the Pi is just opening a local browser on startup, you can sometimes pass the basic credentials in the browser launch script or use a small reverse proxy on localhost to inject the headers automatically so you don't see the popup. Honestly, running a lightweight HTTP/FTP endpoint on Linux (option 1) is by far the least headache.

Hello, I'm developing a custom HTML5 visualization control (via the HTML5 Control Editor / Tools > Visualization Element Repository) and I'm running into what looks like a target-device limitation when trying to deploy it to CODESYS Control for Linux SL. I'd like to understand whether this is a known/expected limitation or something in my setup. Environment - CODESYS Development System: V3.5.22.0 - Target runtime: CODESYS Control for Linux SL, package version 4.15.0.0 (installed together with CODESYS Edge Gateway for Linux 4.15.0.0) - Visu system libraries (VisuElems, VisuElemsAlarm, VisuInputs, VisuNativeControl, etc.): version 4.7.0.0 - Host OS: Debian RT (minimal/base installation) - We only use WebVisu, not TargetVisu. What I did 1. Built a custom HTML5 control following the official HTML5-API-Examples pattern (.html5control.xml manifest + ElementWrapper.js + CSS), installed it successfully via the HTML5 Control Editor ("Save and Install") into the Visualization Element Repository. 2. In the Visualization Manager, enabled "Support client animations and overlay of native elements" (documented as required for HTML5 controls to work at all). 3. With the project's Device set to CODESYS Control for Linux SL, compiling/downloading fails with: "Overlay is not supported for your target visualization device." (Visualization Manager) Build stops with 1 error, download not possible. Isolating the cause - The Visualization Element Repository confirms the control is correctly installed. - With the project Device set to a Windows-based device, the HTML5 control appears and is enabled in the Toolbox as expected. - With the project Device set to CODESYS Control for Linux SL, the HTML5 control is disabled/missing from the Toolbox entirely, even though it's installed in the repository. This points to the Linux SL device description simply not declaring overlay/HTML5 support, rather than a missing package or Debian-side dependency (WebVisu itself already works fine for standard/native visualization elements on this same target). Questions 1. Does CODESYS Control for Linux SL currently support WebVisu overlay (and therefore custom HTML5 controls)? I found documentation stating overlay support for target visualizations (Windows and Linux) was added starting with CODESYS Development System V3.5.17.0, but that seems to refer to TargetVisu, and our case is WebVisu-only on a Linux runtime. 2. If not currently supported, is this on a roadmap, or is there a different Linux runtime package/edition that does support WebVisu overlay for HTML5 controls? 3. Is there any Linux-side configuration or package needed to enable this (given the check appears to happen against a static device capability declaration rather than a live server check), or is this purely a matter of the device description bundled with the current Control for Linux SL package? When I open my WebVisu pages with Microsoft Edge, or Chrome, the background and also some rectangles blinking without reason!!! The application is developed with Codesys 3.5.17.10 and run on Codesys HMI, same version (3.5.17.10). After several experiments I discover that the problem happens when I made dynamic the "End of area" property of a meter object, but I can't understand why this blinking problem happens. Also, the problem is only at the WebVisu page, the "normal" VISU pages (the ones opened when Codesys HMI start) work always perfectly. Another strange thing is that the problem happens only if on the same page, where there is the meter object, there is also a trend object!?!? Codesys HMI is running on a Virtual Machine (VMware Workstation 15 player, v.15.5.6) running Windows 10 Pro N 64-bit. The blinking problem happen also if I convert the project to Codesys 3.5.20.0. This version of Codesys and Codesys HMI are installed on a Virtual Machine running Windows Server 2019 Standard 64-bit. In attachment the archive of my project. The attached project has only one page, if "Enable Counter" is not pressed the "End of area" variable of the meter is not updated in the software, and everything work well, normal VISU and WebVisu; if "Enable Counter" is pressed, the "End of area" variable of the meter is updated in the software, and the WebVisu page start blinking. I tried also to enable the "Support client animations and overlay..." property at VisualizationManager, this seems stop the blinking problem, but that property also destroy my WebPage, moving almost all the graphical object, that also seem not working anymore. I really need help to understand what I'm doing wrong, I have to develop a bigger project and I have to understand if trend objects and animated meters cannot stay in the same page. In the final project the WebVisu will be very important because the customer will use this way to access the application to monitor the process. Regards
