I believe I have installed the correct device descriptions and library, in an attempt to use the MCP3008 in conjunction with RPI; when project runs the MCP3008 is unable to find the correct driver. Is there anything I'm missing? Very new to this so any help is apprecated!

I can't answer why it's not resetting, but from the description of g_udiMaxReceiveBufferSize, I would guess the sum of sizes of the mqtt packets received in one cycle exceeded this value. Hi, I suppose that you are referring to the error code "SMC_FB_WASNT_CALLED_DURING_MOTION"? Starting of Softmotion version 4.15.0.0 the instance path of the function block that has not been called is logged into the device log. This might help you to identify why it has not been called.

The new (UTF8) string library is faster and can handle large strings. https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20String%20Libraries/_strlib_start_page.html PS, in CODESYS, the maximum string length is not 255 characters. The String functions of the standard library are limited to strings of 255 characters. But you can use other (memory) functions to handle strings larger than 255 characters.

the codemeter deb files are part of the runtime-sl-installatonfiles. so u can download the whole raspberry pi package from store-page, unzip it with a progam like 7zip, there you'll find a folder called dependencys i thing. here should the deb files placed

Hi all. I'm pretty new to codesys. Maybe a few months. I've had on and off issues here and there. This issue I cant figure out. The top line is one of 2 that I had. The other one has mysteriously left. the 2nd and 3rd showed up after I restarted the program. I'm not sure how to take care of them. Please help!

Dear Edwin, we are also facing similar problem of communication failure, FB3 error in servo drives. we tried all the suggestion by Kim but still we couldn't solve the issue. we uses Codesys 3.5 sp18 patch2, servotronix servo drives CDHD and crevis GN-9483. Any suggestion / input to solve the issue please. is anyway in codesys to reset the FB3 error? -Rajan

it seems that the device you scan, is not the same type which you have added to the project in CODESYS. Virtual Control is Arm 64 SL so please select this type in CODESYS when you generate a new Application..or right click to the device- update device - virtual Control Arm 64 SL

Hi, On CODESYS V3.5.19.50 I am using the latest 3S File Access library (CAA File & CAA Types) to save and retrieve configuration data from the User Data section of an SD card, via file called config.txt. The application reads the file to memory once upon initialisation, and then the only other operation is overwriting the file with the updated configuration whenever the user changes the settings. An issue is ocurring, seemingly randomly, where the config.txt file, and all surrounding directories, cannot be written to by the unit, returning a READ_ONLY_CAA error upon file open. This sometimes does not clear even after power-cycling the PLC several times, yet checking the file permissions with ls -l shows normal read, write, and execute access. I am wondering if this is caused by the PLC itself or by an issue in my application. It seems like a useful option regarding install the different versions of Codesys IDE on the same computer and keep in isolation from each other, but unfortunately it didn't work. Hi jbu0105, which error doe you get, exactly? Is it error 11008, SMC_MOVE_INVALID_DYNAMICS? (It might help if you check the "Log" tab in the PLC device and copy the exact error.) Please double-check whether the inputs Velocity, Acceleration, Deceleration, and Jerk of MC_MoveCircularAbsolute have correct (positive) values. Best regards, Georg
